Two photos of Greg (around 18 months of age) in training for his "Zuchttauglichkeitsprufung or breed suitability test follow." The ZTP includes a conformation critique, temperament testing, obedience exercises and a protection routine. The first photo is Greg relaxing on top of the A frame or wall (approximately 1.8 meter in height); in IPO the dog must retrieve a dumbbell over the wall. The second is Greg working in protection.

Thanks Hoodude for the compliment. I have had Rotts for 25 years and I sincerely believe Greg is my dog of a lifetime.

    Best,

    Tom

Nice Rott........... I had Rottweiler's for the last 18 years. I've shown them in sieger shows and have been on various Rottweiler forums for about that long. Also been on working dogs eu for a long while.

Thank you Ralph - and sorry for late reply.........Her name is Heidi - sweetest pitbull/american bulldog (or whatever she is lol) ever.......and I can relate as she hates thunder - so summers in Tampa Bay are a bit challenging for her. If you look closely maybe you can make out her collar - that is actually the traditional type collar that the Swiss Berners usually wear.

It looks as though Caro was a wonderful dog. I lived with GSD's as a kid. Great dogs. Here is one of our family members that reminds me of Caro. His name is Sonny and he is just over one year. He is a Berger Blanc Suisse or White Swiss Shepherd. Same floppy ear!

Not a great photo, but went for a drive in the Cali with my other avorio beauty, Cassie. I hate to say it, but I think she prefers the wife's pickup truck. More room, less exhaust noise...T

Great pics..... I like my dog(s) over most people these days. I can't believe my Max is a year old now and it will be a year since I first picked him up soon. June 9th. last year was the day I brought him home. I have to take new pictures.

Nice pic. Mine loves vehicles. He is trained to sit before doors get opened for him. So he go up to a parked car of mine and sit. I sometimes let him in and its a pain to get him back out. He was pulling this start barking like crazy when the truck started moving. Acted like he wanted out. Id pull over, he'd get out. Jump back in and be perfectly fine riding again.

Oh his new behavior. I have a large patio table, we sit at when people are over. Now my mutt jumps up on the table. Lays down in the middle wanting people to pet him!

Sounds a bit like my little four-legged princess. Cassie doesn't jump up on tables, but since she's the center of our world for 99% of the day, she gets a bit jealous if anyone else comes over, unless she recognizes them as a Cassie enabler/spoiler. Then, it's all good. 😀

Cute picture..... Yeah, mines a 100lb princess! Before the GSD it was multiple Rottweiler's. The Rott's range from 110lbs to 130lbs. Pretty muscular dogs. The GSD is a skinny little looking thing. But 10 times stronger over any Rottweiler I've had or been around. Max his pulling strength amazes me.

Dogs like sports cars, that is a fact! 😀
Teach him a new command - "Shotgun"

I'm pretty sure Rupert is saying "Seriously? Put down the phone, and let's go for a ride in the car!"

    Great looking dogs, y'all...T

One of my dogs, Harry (Japanese Akita, aged 11.5), passed away Friday last week, kidney failure. Poor chap, such a great dog, missing him every day and night
