Great Video, sound very deep(base) my cockpit sound is much higher pitch, kinda screams more, probably the carbs versus Efi, fantastic place to drive a Countach,

Raymond, I think this is in Switzerland somewhere.

Not Vale, but the driver is pushing it, and he nearly loses it a couple of times  :D

From the air-vents in the dashboard its a late HLA prefix or JLA Downdraft, red/tan obviously.

Sport exhaust affixed - you can just about hear it crackling away.

Speaking of Vale, here is a nice portrait of him & one of Mimran's Countach Hot Rods circa 1987, looking like he is about to go very fast.

Id say that has to do more with exhaust, esp if you have a quicksilver.... It will have a more metallic sound up top.

Mainly its the throttle linkage, and the air intake noises that are vastly different than the FI and cant ever be reproduced (by any car). Purely mechanically speaking, the DD is the pinnacle of engines in street driven vehicles. Its unique in the car world and the FIA homologation of the engine is the icing on top, giving credence to its superiority.

The blah blah blahness of the FI/DD debate is DOA in my book. Not the same, not by a mile. Over time thoughts change, and fact is no one knew of the FIA certification before very recently. For a supercar of that era, there is no better blessing.

The induction 'whistle' that emanates from those Downdraft Webers is a nice sound.

Its a Countach L150, a restyled developmental Countach, the Prototype for what I believe was aimed at putting a limited edition of Super Countachs into production. However after the sale of the company by Mimran to Lee Iaccoca & Chrysler, the project was shelved.

The model below was made by Mimran as inspiration for this project.

sport cams? were these made by Burtoni? My car is currently rev limited to 7500, but I used to go to 8k regularly, and Mike P believes his 400 may have seen 9k trying to stay ahead of later countachs at Brands in the 80s.
I would love more bhp, but without better aero, any increase in top speed would be impercetible.

The sport cams Raymond is speaking of in GLA12997 are Lamborghini factory sport cams.

I recently was able to get written documentation of the car's factory tuned engine status.

    Thank you Zdenek!

He has solved the location of the video, he says:

"At 8 Minutes and 36 Seconds you can see a Road sign with the name "Förchenbachtal"

So I think it is on following street:Sudelfeldstrasse - 83098 Brannenburg (City)

This is in south Germany very close to the Austrian border.

The driver turns on a Sawmill. I think it is Company Fischer & Söhne at the Sudelfeldstrasse 112 in 83098 Brannenburg.

On this link (if you scroll down) you can see the Entrance to the tunnel"
