Funny because I don't like the Aston gauges, they rotate in different directions and the numbers are small. And I don't mind seeing the frame bracing on the Astons- its just a fact that you need to add more support to the frame when you have this large opening. Sure the Ferraris don't seem to need this, but it wouldn't bother me one bit if they did. I don't really care for strict digital reproductions of analogue gauges, though I don't mind it when they are done with some kind of new age flare. Again, just personal preference. Really all that matters is how it drives, sounds and looks. If those are all superlative, then you could have Aston gauges that spin backwards with LP640 fonts and I wouldn't care! :) (I'm confident Ferrari will get it right).

Having had an instrument cluster go wonky in my 458, I have mixed feelings about these TFT dashes. I can deal with the "new" technology if it looks right. But, when a failure occurs that would have cost me 18K had it not been a warranty repair, I am reluctant to endorse Ferrari using this technology. I would be much more comfortable if they used analog gauges that seem to fail much less. Perhaps they will contract with someone in the future who can build more reliable ones. My dealer has had 2 or 3 including mine. I am sure Honda/Toyota have had fewer failures.

Even the analog gauges now are digital. I suspect they are also susceptible to failure and probably fairly expensive to replace a well. It sure would have been in my 599 when the tach failed- turns out the entire package- tach, speedo, TFT screen are all one unit. Fortunately we found someone who could repair it for a fraction of the cost of new- and with better parts.

Aside from the Aston Martin, any more updates on expected spec/design features for the F12M?

nervous about the display cluster - recently had to shut down battery as one of the screens just went white and did not come back on even after multiple restarts (as so often battery shut off luckily solved the issue)
generally not sure how I feel about the new Ferrari models without a warranty - luckily not sth to worry about for another 8 years or so

Thanks. Is it my imagination, are the rear light clusters the same/similar to the Lusso?

Something very different going on behind the rear quarter lights judging by the way there appears to be almost a void or intake there? The material is loose in front, then appears to be supported, and then loose behind. Also clearly a strong ducktail and it would appear the tdf exhaust boxes are carried over, at least for now. At the front, it appears like the flow to the aero bridges starts either side of the headlights?

As we thought, very different and far more than a mid life.

Although we knew it, it's still comforting to hear the familiar V12 NA sound :)

Hope it will be along the lines of the GT3 RS, because that system is just spectacularly good. Holy moly.

    Very nice Scraggy!

Also very interesting about the F12M discussion. I guess time will prove it all. Thanks to you all for the detective and rendering work!

Often times the companies use the same supplier for these systems so I suppose there is a chance it could be the same or similar but with Ferrari's special magic (programming). Very excited to learn more. Its always fun to see a new Ferrari model and then have the discussion.

Return of the twin taillights era. The current single taillight still looks great to me.

First thought is a Superamerica-style upper rear treatment. Possibly no hatchback. Rear looks like a cross between tdf and 488. Front obviously more open like tdf. Possibly no aero brigde (hopefully) and definitely different hood treatment. All just slightly above conjecture at this point obviously.

Guys, thank you for kind words regarding that render, but lets be honest, that was horrible quality render :D It was very fast response on Camlet1 interesting idea!

Now I`ve made new adjustments so we can take proper look on twin taillights idea! Since this is first stage render where I lined up all elements, I will wait for future posts so I could get some inspiration for rear difusor and for side profile of car.

Great work but I think the changes are far more radical than your renders. Just look at the extent of the camo on this mule, especially the rear. I cannot remember seeing such a cloaked evolution.
