Just some of my collection, the rest (not shown) are none Ferrari watches. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I always wonder why they never made a tasteful Ferrari watch. They are always so over stated and these early cars have more style than that. Matter of taste of course! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sorry, disagree. I think the mid-90s GP Ferrari watches were tasteful and beautiful. This is mine: Best Regards Martin Image Unavailable, Please Login
Exactly the same, with different face. They were simply called '8020' with different bracelets, faces and housing colors (stainless steel, gold) Best Martin
I agree. G-P 8020 is the best looking Ferrari watch I have seen. Especially like the understated black/steel with leather strap. Also came with red face. A bit small by today's standards.
I also have a G.P 8020, but with a dark blue face, and Tobacco alligator strap (among other, non Ferrari watches). Rgds
Hey, I said Ferrari watches! Well...ok...show us fancy watches, too... Here's one of mine...by the way, it's sitting on a dixie cup Image Unavailable, Please Login
Whoops! My bad! Since this is a Ferrari forum and the first watch posted was my gaudy Ferrari watch....I guess I should never assume
The "Holy Grail" of watches for the true 308 enthusiast. There are three versions of this model all differing in the bottom script. This one is the exact used on the first three seasons or so on Magnum (note on the picture) which simply reads "Quartz" and still has the original hands and black day/date - difficult to retain if you have to renew the movement. I have a second that reads "Sea Quartz 30" but the hands were replaced with the closest available and has a white day/date. That is my daily watch. I have a source in Germany for movements with the correct black day/date wheel but the hands are difficult to source. I keep the most original lock up most of the time. It took me 4 years to find it. Congratulations on finding that, Tommy. It's not a bad look at all, but I'd say it's not the Holy Grail (cue Python jokes). I think a watch that an F1 driver wore as a daily (rather than sponsor promo) with known ownership / connections to the 308 would be my Holy Grail. But I have no idea what Villeneuve, Lauda etc wore. Maybe somebody can elighten us. They are sure to be more tasteful than some of the F watch output from more recent decades
It say "Dino 308 GT4" bought this from a GR4 guy on here last year. These are his words about it. It has a 14kt gold fluted bezel & case and has a stainless back (the fluted case is cool if you're a retro watch guy) There are no other maker's marks on the outside of the watch The dial is a silver pie-pan dial with gold sticks The movement is a PUW 360 made in Germany by Pforzheimer Uhrenrohwerke and is marked as such It keeps great time The strap on it is a padded genuine croc strap made by Rios1931 in Germany that is beautiful I paid way too much for it, I'm sure Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
He did - later in the series. The Sea Quartz 30 is the only one he wore for the first three seasons which fit with the character. That watch was popular in the Navy back in the 70's so it was not an accident Magnum had one. It is the one on his wrist when you see him slamming that magazine in his old service pistol on the opening credits. It is quite difficult to find now.
