    I have AP Headers w/ S-Line exhaust. I installed 90 degree O2 Extenders, but I still get CEL's for 02.

Has anyone had luck with the Fabspeed Mini Cats?

Yes they do, but there is also a slight chance you will still get some from time to time.
Something that worked for me was actually leaving the car with no power overnight vs just killing the battery switch temporarily after installing them.
Maybe it was just coincidence but when I only disconnected the power for a short period of time I was still getting codes (421 and a weird 1287)
So far 1,000+ miles and no codes

I just installed AP headers with Capristo blankets, S-line exhaust, and no CEL extenders. No CEL! Hope I'm not jinxing myself now...

I would add blankets if you don't already have them.

Does Fabspeed still reflash ecu's? I don't see that service on their website? I might just go that route.

Just spoke to Fabspeed, they still offer ecu flash for $1995.

I find the spark plug defouler you can buy from local autozone works well. And it's under $10. It works really well cause it only have a pin hole. Plug and play too.

Do you live in a State that requires all readiness monitors to be completed before an emissions test? If that is the case an ECU re flash will not help you because what they do is tell the ECU to NOT look for those parameters that trigger those codes and the monitors never get completed.
If I were you I will try the mini cats and see what happens, either Fabspeed or Big Daddy's (you need the combo one in BD)

MA requires readiness check. I tried the extenders which didn't work had a Fabspeed reflash and passed with no issues

I was told the readiness monitors never gets completed with a re-flash from an actual tuner.
Sometimes states let one "not ready" non continuos monitor, are you sure is not the case with MA??

I have mine registered in a state that doesn't test.

Does the reflash include the performance increase?

All states are different. Here are the readiness requirements for Missouri.

He said Massachusetts but maybe that is the case as well there.
I read your other post then you are fine but I will try the mini cats first because honestly the power gains are very hard to notice on a normal aspirated car and for the money I will just put the mini cats.

Right. I was just throwing that out there.

I'd much rather go with the mini cats if I knew they would work...

A re-flash should not be stopping a readiness check; my understanding is that such an approach is a quick and dirty workaround. The correct approach is to reduce the threshold for the post cat o2 sensitivity check to account for aftermarket headers. That way the sensor is still active and checks are passed but the trigger for EML is significantly lower.

Supposedly by reducing that sensitivity the monitors don't get completed.
That is what I understood from the explanation a really good tuner and fellow fchat member gave me.

F430. What other cars are we talking about?

This works much better than extenders. It has a pin hole instead just extends it out. It basically reduce the effectiveness of the O2 sensor mechanically. So cheap and it takes litterally 15 minutes to install

There is a tuner named 'Mase' I believe that is also an option and can customize the tune to your liking. For example, he is willing to just turn off the o2 codes and not change fuel/timing if you want to remain conservative on the tune.

Will be no difference. Although the OP car is not a scud.

My apologies Eric, we are currently reloading all the flashes back onto our website with the addition of our new handheld tuning option for certain applications. Please feel free to message me if anyone has questions regarding this process!

In most cases, we have seen the spacers do exactly what we designed them for when the car starts triggering a CEL for catalyst efficiency. There is always the chance that they will not work on certain applications when removing catalytic converters, but our success rate has been very high.

The ECU tuning route allows us to go in and force-pass the monitors on some Ferrari models so you will not see any lights on the dash, but depending on which state/country you are registering the car in - it will pop up on the emissions side as "not available". The power gains (even over a stock F-car) are just another added benefit while keeping the light off.

    Eric,

Just curious if you left power disconnected for 24 hours as poster above suggested? I got some 99/euro cats as a preemptive strike for my headers that just hit 25k on them. I'm sure I'll need the mini cats too once I install. Hope you can get them to work.
