Thank you! We have searched for the chassis number of this one for a long time, nice to see what a resource participants of the thread can be.
I am wondering how many Downdrafts were originally delivered with sports exhausts from new? By the advent of the Downdraft, cars were being delivered with them already affixed. Tonino Lamborghini's Bologna-registered car is shown. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Joe, I took that Goodwood photo but sadly can't find any other snaps of it. Are we assuming it is right hand drive, based on the location of the rear fog light? Can Robert not help with the this one?? Also re the picture below, I found this white QV on Twitter the other day but not sure how old the photo is, though it was posted in recent months. Looks like a scan of a photo judging by the marks on the image. Clearly in the UK but no idea if RHD or not. Just curious as I've not seen a white QV on this plate before E12 JHE. Likely an 88.5 car. Our government database vehicle check (DVLA) has no current record of the car. Does anyone else know this car and what plates it may have been before?? Cheers David Image Unavailable, Please Login
French-spec Downdraft with all-amber turn-signal & running-light lenses. I've ever seen that before. Image Unavailable, Please Login
We had to remanufacture the shield, an item I find either missing or badly damaged on most cars. An unbelievable amount of work went into this. Installed and ready-to-go. Image Unavailable, Please Login
From behind a car with sport exhaust, this is what this component originally looked like. Image Unavailable, Please Login
And on a car that has not been modified such as Wilhelm's one-owner Downdraft, as it looks nowadays. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Its possible the shield was applied both painted black and bare-metal, but my research of original examples shows the latter, the Hinghaus car being a great example as it is a 1-owner original car. Also the example I showed above of the Blu Acapulco car shows it as a new car. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm ashamed and embarrassed for a) being fooled by a rep and b) posting it on here. I'll delete it off! No place here for reps.
Dont be too hard on yourself. We all get fooled for a while sometimes. When life end,s you'll have plenty of time to be mortified.
Knew I had it somewhere - not my photos but from a public website. You can see the red interior [in fact red and black] so it is the car registered F836PYN then A15OOS... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Robert, I saw this car many times when it was new and registered F 836 PYN, at places like Goodwood & Syon Park, and I thought it was awesome when new. It still is. Indeed, its is the only Countach I have ever seen with its unique red-and-black interior as ordered from the factory, its so cool to see these unique appointments as made by the works. Does any one know if even a single Downdraft was ever painted period-available PPG 2.463.685 Oro Sahara Metallizzato (Gold)?
