    Hello.....Before I do something Conan on my spare key for my 599....has anyone taken one apart and replaced the battery in it? Amy advice would be appreciated!

    Very easy to do, you just need 2 Duracell 1220 batteries.

    Instructions are up front in the owners manual and show the pry points to separate the cover for the battery compartment. Here is the page from the F430 WSM, which is identical to the page in the 599 OM.

    TAZ.....Thanks so much for the info....my car does not have a manual....again thanks I just didnt want to mess it up!

    While we are at it I shut off the battery in the truck and I unfortunate forgot I did that and closed the trunk. Does anyone know where the manual release for the trunk is located?

    Take Out the Inset with the middle Bridge in the middle Console and pull the cable !

    FYI you can access a copy of an owners manual - search, 599 Ferrari owners manual. I did that before I got my Fcar to start getting familiar with the car. There is a bit of advertising at manualslib.com but better than nothing. I have it saved to favorites on my IPad & desktop even though I have the owners manual for my car.
