A bit of watch trivia: A Patek Philippe 1518 (perpetual calendar with chronograph in steel), sold at auction on Friday night for a world record price of $11 million. https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/stainless-steel-patek-philippe-ref-1518-sells-phillips-geneva
I have decided after looking at all these photos of hairy wrists and hands that watches look much better on women. Unfortunately for them I don't think they have as many options.
My father passed away this past August. I'm wearing his 60-year-old Zenith handwound today for the first time. Matt Image Unavailable, Please Login
...and by the way, easy on polishing that case. Just don't. Buy this: https://www.amazon.com/Polywatch-Plastic-Lens-Scratch-Remover/dp/B0014R9V9O and use it to clean the crystal. Then once you're finished use the section of the cloth that is still a little wet from polishing the crystal to polish (just rub) the gold case. It'll sparkle and look almost new. Sorry about your dad.
Wore it yesterday and didn't change it out this morning; so today a 1501 with custom milled endlinks, a roulette date wheel, and a brown croc strap from 1968. It is small by today's standards but I'm not a fan of the current big watch trend. . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Is that a clock. How do you get a shirt over that. I don't get the trend of gigantic watches. I'm just too old. . . . . . . school.
Wow, my bad on vintage of that watch. I just don't like the huge watches and it is a current trend for very large pieces. 40 mm is big for me.
