I've seen quite a few photos recently of this black F40. Does anyone know when the repaint was done? Is the interior black leather as well?

Is there a story on the different wheels front/rear?

I recall reading an article about Nick Mason and I think it was Dave Gilmour which said they both had very early examples of F40s and Ferrari later wanted to have them back and as a result they did a deal involving later built F40s with both owners, any truth in that?

Good shot of NM's car showing the different rear screen he had developed to improve rear vision. He also had some upgraded brake pads developed which I fitted to mine.

Photo taken 3 October 1988 at Fiorano when Mason (far left) and Gilmour received their F40s, #78122 and #78036.
These two F40s were then displayed at the Birmingham Motor Show in the UK from 19 to 30 October 1988. 78122 was on the Ferrari stand and 78036 on the Pininfarina stand.
Not my photo. I do not know the copyright owner of this photo, very sorry.

Interesting to see that Mason must have had that one converted to wind up windows at a later date then, as 78122 is still registered as F40 NPG in the UK and first registered on 4/11/88 in the UK.

So they did not own any F40s prior to these two chassis?
