I couldn't care less who is the GOAT and who isn't.
    Stats don't mean a thing.
It's not what you win, but how you win that's important to me.
I look how people race and also their personality. That's all that interest me.
I have no favourite, nor am I fan on any particular team.

No, the heads did not explode because you are simply wrong...As you mention the team and testing there is a significent difference between Schumacher and Hamilton:
Schumacher drove in a time of unlimited testing. So Schumacher and Hamilton both had the car to beat but Schumacher worked years of testing and developing with his team to get the car he had. With his work ethics in Fiorano, his ambition and discipline he was the ideal driver for this period and whoever you ask in Maranello will agree that he was also a team motivator and team player...Apparently he was also very good in his feedback while testing so I would say that Schumachers part of the development is at least partly decisive.
Hamilton on the other side is driving in a time of no testing so Hamiltons input in the development of the car seems to be negligible and it does not sound like he is the big team player (one just has to listen to the discussions about the switch of the mechanics in the Mercedes garage). So I doubt that Hamilton would have achieved the same thing Schumacher did in the Ferrari years but I do not see anything against Schuamcher beeing able to achieve the same thing in Hamiltons situation at Mercedes right now.
Furthermore Schumacher in particular had some epic drives in the Ferrari in the years before it set the standard in F1, races like Barcelona 1996 might add more to his reputation than wins in between 2000 and 2004.

Although Schumacher has many records it is not just about the numbers like you want to make us believe. Senna has less victories and less WDC (by the end of the year) than Hamilton and still he is rated much higher because of the way some of these victories and poles where achieved. And I am not talking about character but about the abilities before the discussions come up again.

If a car's technical and technological advantage can make Lewis Hamilton look like the greatest driver of all times I'd rather have completely autonomous F1 cars and spare the BS

Fair enough but how do you judge their personality? I think media does paint a very biased picture of the personality of a driver and it might not be how he actually is. I bet that Hamilton looks better in British TV than in German whereas Schumacher did look much better over here than in the UK...And many of them have a very different personality in public and in private, question is whether it is reported on or not. I would think that Hamilton might be a much more likable person if you know him in person than what we actually see over here in the media (at least I hope for him)....

Good morning/afternoon/evening to all our playmates around the planet.

Nicole deserved a 1 year contract at least, although i think Toto might regret going for 2 once the dust settles and they start banging wheels again.

Lewis has a way to go before getting anywhere near Schumi,in terms of the total package.Hopefully we will get more of a battle next year which may help to evaluate the various drivers.

That comes out by the way they act, speak, give opinions, react to circumstances, etc...

It's no different from judging the personality of any public person; I don't need to live with them to form an opinion.

    Well, Schumacher was probably:

-The hardest worker in F1 history
-A consummate professional, never criticized the team EVER even when things were tough
    -A supreme motivator of people

All personality traits that should be admired and played a big part in "how he won"

You are trying very hard, but I never did admire Schumacher.
I see no reason to change my opinion.

You don't need to admire Schumacher, but you need to respect his accomplishments. No matter how you slice it, he danced w the best and won, and won 5 times for team red.

You are on the wrong track here, and you do not need to be rude .

To reiterate my earlier point, Rosberg's 2nd place in Brazil was more luck than skill. Doesn't deserve world champion.

If it wasn't for Red Bull's strategy he'd have been 3rd, i.e. still all he needed to do. He doesn't need to risk it, so why take it?

It may not be the most exciting way to win a title but who cares.

Not at all. I just don't think Rosberg is a natural racer like many others in the field at present. Its only the fact he's sat in a Mercedes car which has given him this potential title.

He's quick when out in front (but who wouldn't be in the same car), but put him under any pressure and he cracks.

And you never wondered why he was chosen by Mercedes to race their cars perhaps, "among many others in the field at present" ?

Why did Mercedes renew his contract if he is so below par ?
