You entering Targa Tasmania?
Nothing $50k+ cannot fix Whats the story behind it? Maybe you can fit A GM engine to the GM tranny? as by the front height the motor is missing.
Yep. I can't help myself. Took mine for a run again yesterday morning. The open speed limit is no more from the 21st of this month on, so I have had one last legal quick run up to the Plenty Hwy turn off & back. Bl@@dy Labor! Cheers, Al
Labor got rid of the open limits last time they got in as well. Not sure if the Lib's will be able to get it back again next time they get in. I took some dashcam footage of my last run. I should reduce it down a bit & put it on youtube. Image Unavailable, Please Login
so the background on the car, it was a burnout car at bindoon running a small bblock chev, the dyno sheet was on the floor, 386 hp at the wheels, (search youtube cheata ferrari) so anyways its reasonably complete, motor turns, CIS is there but I think its missing the intake boots, full new looking full stainless exhaust, body is tidy, not original colour, carpets are shot seats will refinish nice no tears etc, t400 has a deep sump and has had a B&M shifter (now removed) and I am assuming it has had a manual shift kit and maybe reverse pattern as thats a standard for burnout cars haha fuel tanks have been removed but are with the car, I figure for $10k plus auction fees I can spend a few bucks and get it running and decide from there, if I cut my losses Im pretty sure it would have to be worth what I have in it, its a fickle market with unloved models like this, personally I love the 400, I was only talking about this to a mate last month ,this being the car I would love to buy mainly because its the low end price range and 80's kool, my problem is when sale time comes I live in southern WA which makes it challenging to get people to look at the car, and nobody buys a car like this sight unseen unless its cheap haha, when I confirm the deal has gone through I will start a thread, Cheers Russ...
Sounds good at that price. There is certainly $10K worth of parts there. Checkout OttoB's car in the 365,400, 412 section for some inspiration. Good luck with it. Cheers, Al
It is a Street Guardian SG9665GC V2 & was $235 delivered. Has a good picture but sound was crap as I had the window down. I don't like the mounting system as it has a pad that glues to the screen so I had it sticky tapped to a suction mount from another camera. I put up part of the video (reduced quality) on youtube - https://youtu.be/vSsE4HGwOeY Cheers, Al
Cool video man, brought back some nice memories from a few months ago. It's great that I got to experience it 'legally' before they removed the open speed limit, because next time I will be doing those speeds won't be legal.
That time of year again, school graduations. Some random pics my friends sent me from earlier this afternoon. Will be doing this again tomorrow night. First time I have washed my car since bringing it home from Alice Springs I think.... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
