Very nice Joey!!! I wish I could have kept my Jalpa!!! Its a great combo to have a Jalpa and Countach!!!!

How do you like your lifts? I currently have a Pro-Park 7 4-post lift. However, I'm going to leave it with the house that we are selling and purchase another for the new house.

I'm considering the Bend-Pak, simply because you can choose the color of your lift and I really want to red! LOL!!

  3. The first lift I bought several years ago was pretty decent. The second one, not nearly. The quality is just not as good. I like the Bendpak, other than needing an air supply to lower, which is no big deal. I also sold my Jalpa about a year ago. It went into a collection in Arkansas. Same guy that sold the maroon s2 with the aftermarket fuel injection.

Whether it is car or houses these day I dont know what is up with Sunday sellers saturating the market with things priced as they are salesproof they don't really want to sell. What is the point other than messing up the market, really...
In my area there are so many overpriced house that dont sell that it makes it look there is a R.E problem. Same for cars I guess

You see this a lot in the car market, and it does have an adverse overall effect, certainly, its never a good thing. I believe that any product that sits on the market for months without selling diminishes it's own appeal and therefore desirability, for a number of reasons. Often times, pricing alone is not the reason that a car does not sell. That said, given the options of reduction or withdrawal that exist, when a car sits on the market, it could be that the basic economic concept of Time = Money has not been fully grasped! Perhaps we should be discussing this in the values thread.

Good topic for sure. The parallel with Real Estate is strong. I had the discussion about houses in my neighborhood and almost every other house has got a for sale sign in a 5 miles radius. This makes the entire area look like it is going bust when in fact it is real nice and quiet. I was getting worried of something I potentially did not know! Now the ones who want to sell have to to drop the price below market to convince buyers, driving everyone values down. Terrible situation where owners don’t realize they are shooting themselves

I never seen this car also, are you know when this photo was taken? This registration is a late one in France now the system change with 2 letters-3 numbers-2 letters (AA-123-AA)also the registration with twin W is only for one month when you wait for the real registration.

Uwe Meissner @ Modena Motorsports can tell you, it won't sit around too long, his stuff rarely does.

Here is his direct link http://modena-motorsport.de/portfolio/lamborghini-countach-5000-s/?lang=en with high-res images.

The car could use changing of the blue incorrect hoses and a host of small attention details, but its a lovely liveried low-mileage example.

FWIW, as one can see from the tell-tale naked rivets (which should be painted over in satin black) on the side sills, it used to have side skirts.

Apologies if this has already been posted before (I have followed this entire thread but hard to recall everything mentioned). In another thread in the General Ferrari section is a very interesting thread about the Sultan of Brunei's collection of cars.
Someone, about ten years ago, posted all the cars owned at a certain time in the nineties which obviously includes a number of Lamborghinis.

Below is the full list (bit difficult to split out on an iPad).

The list is Make Model Reg No Chassis No
Just thought I would post in case the chassis numbers are of interest and plug some missing info for anyone

The Sultan had a habit of having many cars uniquely customised by the factories - like the LM002 with the heavily glassed 'estate' rear end. Wonder if he had any Countaches specially modified to his own preferences.
I haven't finished reading the thread (10 pages into the 50+ pages) but suspect the fate of many of these cars is unknown - perhaps lost entirely to the humidity and poor storage many suffered.

Like I say, apologies if discussed already.

The more I see a Countach in silver the more I think it really suits the car. Lovely example. Shame about the steering wheel, but overall the combo is fantastic.

For restored / repainted cars, I actually believe I see more turned than correctly mounted! Possibly related to the new "SV" logo that Lamborghini made for the Murciélago SV, where the S is turned compared to the original S. I have a sneaking suspicion that someone in the design department used one of Lamborghini's press photos of the yellow Miura SV (complete with turned S) as their inspiration when designing the new look.
