Finally! I've found the downforce numbers of the Veneno: 500kg. If the SV can do a 6:59 only about 218kg, then imagine what the Veneno could've done. Lamborghini celebrates 50th with exclusive Veneno Just out of curiosity, the centenario makes about 693lbs of drag and 499lbs of downforce, would those two combine to essentially create a combined "downforce" amount, or would the drag reduce the downforces' effect?
Most downforce numbers, including this one, are suspect. They would exceed the maximum load on the suspension for starters. I suspect that many of those numbers only state what kind of downward force the aerodynamics generate, however they forget to mention that the rest of the car generates upforce. Especially details like the wheel arcs and the underbody on cars that sit pretty high and don't have floppy splitters. The numbers you really want is upforce, and downforce, separately, for any given speed. That would clarify things, and it would allow you to do further computation, e.g. on grip. As it is those plain, unqualified "downforce is x" statements have no practical value.
Doesn't really matter. "Cars" such as the Mono or the T1 are nothing more than track cars, formula style. They are totally unsuited for road use and they 're only issued with plates because of the very lax British laws in that respect (we also have a 3000 HP Vauxhall dragster roaming the public roads).
Drag and downforce are usually proportionally related to speed and to each other but not in a completely strict way such as to give a fixed coefficient. Hence why we usually get single values for a given speed instead.

The Mercedes is going to be out of control good as long as the styling is there. 1400 kg, hybrid, 1000 bhp. It will blow the Chiron out of the water.
I read that they were targeting more of a 1:1. But that was when there were rumors of 1300hp. So maybe they're still keeping it at 1:1, but with 100hp instead of 1300. They claim their target is the Aston.
No street legal car with modern electricrinics, hybrid tech and safety equipment can be that light. If the Mercedes and Aston can weigh around 3000 pounds full of fluids it will be an amazing accomplishment. Plan on the production cars weighing 1400-1450 kgs. Still 100-200 kg lighter than 918-P1-LAF.
Why exactly? I mean, the car had no safety requirement, manual gearbox, no comfort, no complicated anything and US Spec ones still gained like 200 pounds making the kerb weight about 1420 kg.
Grand Tour results went 918, Laferrari and then P1 third. P1 wasn't on trofeo tires though and they seem to make quite a difference for that car. 918 and Laferrari seem soooo evenly matched even in straight line acceleration and it's quite interesting because they couldn't be more different in the way they achieve the speed. Marvelous stuff, there really is no clear winner to me after years of debate and tests they are all three just so good. Purely personal choice as to which car someone would rather have.
Yep, Jerome D'Ambrosio who when describing the cars in French, if I'm not mistaken, says the LaF is his favourite. You can see he doesn't like the way the Macca behaves with its open diff and its crude brakes-simulated torque vectoring
We should also keep in mind that the LF (and the P1 in this case) were on street biased P Zeros, contrary to the 918 which was on Cups semi-slicks.
