(Denver) Ferrari Spotters!!!!

Huge rally came to Denver and stayed throughout the weekend. Approximately 20 Lamborghinis, one 458, and one R8. The rally name is Gia Lai Rally. Really great group of people. Had a lot of fun talking to them and seeing them whip their cars around town.

Nice spotting! How did I not know about this. I need some suggestions on which car events pages to follow for Colorado...all I got is Cars and Coffee and Ferrari Club

Coffee & Cars (formerly of Boulder/Lafayette) is now being held in the Hagerty Classic Cars parking lot. Amazing 1st show this past Sat. Instantly my favorite reason to wake up early on Sat. I've done hundreds of car shows. The friendliness, and class, of people that turned out were a cut above the rest. Such an eclectic collection of all sorts. It must be a CO thing.

In summary, I highly recommend the first three due to their activity, typical owner demographic, and quality of events. I like them all, even the hero worship in small doses that happens in the import scene.

I really like to attend the Air Strip Attack in Colo Springs every year (entered it once and hit 141mph), The PIT Rally in Blackhawk, and Pikes Peak of course. But these events are just once a year. I need more of a car scene fix and these car shows do just that! Thanks again.

Does anyone here know why Derek @ FoD is banned on here? I'm trying to reach out to him regarding an Enzo in the service area at FoD but don't really want to just phone the dealership and ask for him.

Why not what's the big deal? Give him a call. I asked him a few questions on fchat once. He said he would get back to me and he never did. Pretty simple stuff really. I was curious about some production numbers he was quoting. Frankly, I thought they were a bit off. I was hoping they were correct and like I said he blew it off.

"Derek at FoD" is no longer in the members list. Last login was 11/02/2016. I can understand having him change the user name if FoD is no longer a sponsor, but no reason to ban Derek from the site.

Under his old "Derek at FoD" username, it says "Banned". I guess I assumed if he changed his username, it would be retroactive to all his old posts? I know it works that way on other forums, but Fchat isn't quite like other forums.

 

Anyone have thoughts why Derek was banned?

 

I'm back! Charles, you hit the nail on the head, we ceased our sponsorship and Rob Lay decided to ban me without notice. He blocked all of my IP addresses so until some personal conversations between the two of us took place I haven't been able to get on here and defend myself.

I'm still at FoD, nothing has changed except here on Ferrari Chat. I look forward to future conversations and I'll continue to offer help/advice whenever it is permissible. I do not wish to step on anyone's toes and will respect the policies and sponsors that help keep the lights on around here.

 

David, I apologize that I haven't gotten back to you and answered your question. Those claims of the percentage of manual transmissions produced weren't made by me and I still have yet to have a clear and concise answer for you.

I noticed Algar Ferrari and Ferrari of Denver are no longer sponsors on FChat. Both are owned by the same person. Something is going on obviously.

 

His user title definitely didn't say "Banned" when I commented, or I wouldn't have replied to him.

This is very strange indeed. Derek has helped me out with answering questions and helping me locate cars in the past, he always seemed like a good member here.
