Even more if the 800Hp are real.

I hate that period before the release of a new ferrari. I count each day.

The worst was for the F12 in February/March 2012... I was so obsessed with seeing the 599 successor that I wanted to perform a burglary at Ferrari Headquarters

At factory today - cool as usual. No sign of any F12M related........guess it's finished. Lusso dominated V12 line.

Above was validated so assume in 10 days exact specs on here via word of mouth.

Can't see 800 BHP, bordering on unsafe for public roads but I said that with 600 in 599.

Really its ridiculous that in UK you can drive that with a standard driving licence whereas for motorbikes there are "tiers" for CC and power.

With the 360 Ferrari started to do more extensive testing on the Nurburgring aka the Green Hell.

This made the car a lot better and still does. The Ring is more a fast street than a GP track. Therefore Ring lap times are meaningful even if one does not track a car.

Typically Porsches with comparabel power/weight ratio are considerably faster than F cars. This gap is decreasing for a good decade now.

It'll be more aggressive (styling wise) than the F12b, as they want the F12 to be more distinctive from the GTC4Lusso, but it won't be *that* aggressive, they still need to leave room for the GTO/TDF version (which won't come, until suddenly, it will! Surprise surprise ;)).

True, every good manufacturer tests at the Ring. But Ferrari's never been boasting about lap times. It is not a real circuit but a closed public road.
Porsche has a different DNA then Ferrari so it fits them better.
However we've seen plenty of cheaper cars beat the crap out of Porsche the last few years; GTR & Viper ACR for example.

My point was that Ferrari doesn't need to create a Ring monster to please it's clientele.

Do we think the M will get a tdf type stripe along the rear between the tail lamps?

If they did, it would be another way for Ferrari to add value. Offering it body coloured as standard and as an option custom painted or in carbon.

I don't think you are right, I think it will be very aggressive and they don't need to leave room for the GTO/TDF version as that surely will be an Aperta.

This might actually make a lot of sense since the original Daytona had a coupe and a spyder version!

If you look at the latest trend and the pace at which Ferrari is pumping out Limited Edition cars, we will see a GTO/TDF hardcore car, as well as an Aperta.
I'm sure they will also find an anniversary of some sort (market specific most likely) for an ultra limited edition car.
And I would bet on a XX version too.

XX version hadn't occurred to me but I can see the logic.
VS version based on XX (like 599 GTO) would be awesome.

Exactly. In Italy the law states that new drivers cannot drive cars that have an excess of a specific power/weight ratio. That's why they have special editions with just 70-80 horsepower. Still, if you get older you can obtain a land based missile without any further qualification. That's insane really!

Saw the car couple of weeks ago.
In general: new front and more marked and "strong" lines , as an example in the door panel there is like an air intake which starts down just after the front tires and then goes up opening it in two different lines across the door panel.
Over the rear tire It has an air vent similar to the triple ones in the TDF but the F12M has just one and in a slightly different angle/position.
Four tail lights and the tail ("ferrari" emblem part) is very pronunced..even a bit more than the TDF.

    Best.

That's very interesting and thank you. What was your overall impression of the car versus either the F12b or tdf? If you saw the interior, was there a central screen-I think not?

A couple of days ago, the official FerrariRaces Twitter account posted this:
"Not only speed and adrenaline at Finali Mondiali. Are you ready to discover something new? #FerrariFM16".
Are they teasing the unveiling of the F12M to the public? I know some said It's supposed to be shown during a private meeting for the dealers, but a tweet like that points toward a different direction..

Which color did Ferrari choose for this early F12M build? The TdF was introduced wearing triple yellow as seen in those leaked pictures taken at the factory...

Maybe he's one of them? In any event, FSS, thanks for the info. I'm looking forward to seeing it- whenever that happens!
