Ferrari Challenge World Finals in Dezember 2016 Daytona Dont forget... Image Unavailable, Please Login
FNA has been trying to do more events with FCA, but World Finals I'd doubt; the track schedule tends to be absolutely jammed between Challenge, XX and F1 programs. However, Daytona has lights and theoretically could run into the evening... however, they are trying to do a "world record number of Ferraris on a track" attempt, which I'm sure (like the Rodeo Drive event) will require FCA to be involved. That in particular will be interesting, as these "parades" by definition have to be slow, and if you put a modern Ferrari up on the banking going slowly, it will cause all sorts of errors to come up (for example, a too-slow formation lap in a 458 Challenge race will throw off the yaw sensor, effectively deactivating TCS and ABS, which can cause a serious Code Brown when you lock up going into the bus stop).
There might be. FNA has been running a few sessions during Challenge weekends for "non-racing Challenge cars" - eg. non-Evo 458's, 430's, 360's. Only requirement is that the cars must be fully stock/original - which many older Challenge cars are not, as they've been "enhanced" with aero, exhausts, steel brakes, better seats, etc. for use in CCR, et al. I have not seen the schedule, was just reacting to the last 3 events, where the track schedule was fully packed 0900-1730 every day. I"m sure they could cram a few more sessions in.

Bringing the 355 to do the rally Saturday evening. Was told the 360Challenge was not eligible to be put in the world record attempt as it was for “tagged” vehicles only. Will be there Friday thru Sunday. Let the symphony begin!
That seems to be the most ridiculous news I have heard all weekend short of anything with Lewis Hamilton... How do you have a track world record event and not allow any track cars... ? Sorry we will not be there because of work commitments. Please post as many photos as possible of all the challenge cars that you can. Thanks. Have a great time. Robb
