Correct except the dealers launch is not in two weeks time, it's at Daytona in just a few days.

Thanks Tim. We will just have to wait and see. I would love it if I somehow stumbled into the dealers area by accident of course while I am down there... ;)

I think you missed that his was a quote he read on another site. Not "his" assessmemt of 2 weeks from the time he posted that quote but rather when the OP on the other site posted maybe?

With the info gleaned from the camo'd prototypes, I expect the car will look something like this. Generally pretty close to the original, but with all new panels all around expect maybe for the green-house.

If I'm right, the most notable change will be that the front is less obviously pointy with more accentuation of the far-forward front wheels and and a blunter, more pronounced hump over the front axle. The fender peak will drop down to the side of fender and door as it runs backwards - like on the Lusso (which, BTW, I really don't like - reminds me of new Nissan design language). There is a visible crease across the fender/door edge visible on the mules.

Headlights appear to be more horizontal than previously and seem to be trimmed by the fender line.

Aero-bridge seems to be replaced by aft facing vent behind the front wheel well, with the scalloped sides being a continuation of the front bumper leading edge shape.

I imagine that the quarter window may be re-done in a less angular fashion to mimic the quarter window on the Daytona, especially if this one will be called Daytona.

I can't imagine a single tdf-style cut over the rear wheels as was mentioned earlier other than it being like one slit, maybe angled in sympathy to the trailing edge of the quarter window.

I imagined a scoop right behind the door handle (mimicking the shape of the quarter window) to feed a rear fender flow-through arrangement like on the 488, with exits at the back, around the lights.

    Great vision, and rendering.

I hope you're right, yet my gut says it's more like the Lusso, meaning not the triangle door handles for starters and more busy body lines and flat/squareness instead of the roundness. We shall see :)

I do not follow Lamborghini too much but was interested in your post regarding cetenario entertainment. It apparently is touch screen driven but what got me to respond was the Centenario model itself. The worst case of flaps and gills yet! Perhaps they sent the F+G designer to Lamborghini and the F12M will be sweet?

Great sketch - I wish I had your skills. If it looks anything like that- it will be a cool looking car - how do you see the rear with the twin lights and the front? There's a German video in the California replacement thread which gives a version and looks like it might follow some of your thoughts.

    Thanks and thanks everyone.

I do this because, like you, I can't wait a few days-or more-to see what the new car will look like.

As to your comment, I agree, I really don't know what to expect and am certain I will be surprised. Positively, I hope.

    Cheers

Yeah, the blue car seems to point to some things that can be seen the proto, it's just that the render is so badly executed that it doesn't resemble a 2 seater GT (I think they used a 612 for the basis of the PhotoShop).

I was included to see the TDF launch at Pebble and while my dealer will not confirm, he is wanting to make sure that I am available on a short notice at Daytona... am heading down today.. can't wait to see all the cars and track action...will certainly report if a new F12 is spotted...

Ingegnere, your rendering is mind blowing. Did you include the details from ferr9000's description ?

I think Ingeneres effort is brilliant and possibly pretty close after all it will still be an F12. With the tdf and something like this for the M, it just demonstrates what a wonderful initial design Pinin created, truly a masterpiece.

You don't think with 4 tail lights like the Lusso...it'll look too close to the C7 Z06 do you?

I don't think Pinin had anything to do with the F12. My understanding is the 458 was their last car
