Rocking the new Zenwatch 3. Love it so far and just started delving into customization. This is the dimmed and active mode for the stock Sundial face. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you. Usually two camps for this reference: Those who love it and others who just don't get it. I am in the first camp!
I'm in the middle on the 5711. I love the blue dial against stainless, the Genta design is brilliant. I really like watches like this and the submariner that can be used and abused. The overall shape is growing on me, but I'm still not quite convinced. I still can't reconcile the value proposition. Simple movement, simple case, simple materials = $35k?
$35k? I think retail is about $24k (very hard to get though). Gray market 'new' maybe $28k. Secondary market 'used' maybe $24-$26k. Still a lot for a steal watch (or any watch for that matter!)...but it's a work of art. Some appreciate it for what it is and others don't. When one does come up, they are usually sold very quickly. Just saw a mint example listed by a gray dealer I trade for $28k...sold in less than 24 hours. The good thing is, if you buy one and don't like it, it is easily to flip for even money or limited lose.
Hmmm, I have a pretty solid Patek connection I may have to call. I haven't bothered with the AD because I saw them online for $34-$35 and figured depreciation makes them $28 used.
The ones you see advertised for $34-35K are probably sellers who do not actually have one in stock. If they get a buyer to bite at that price they then try and go find one.
Interesting - thanks for the info. I just bought three watches, but I think I just found another one to go after - LOL. MDS
I saw a bit on line to day about a Roger Smith watch up for sale in London, only £115 000. Very rare to see one available.
