A recent review by Andrew Frankel taking the TDF into the Welsh hills. In the wet. Nice article. Driving the Ferrari F12 tdf on wet Welsh mountain roads | Autocar
Indeed. I've been reading Mr. Frankel's reviews for a long time and I admire his point of view and his driving skills. Very high praise.
+1 and he wrote about his experiences driving the new 911 R recently. Years ago he got caught in a snow storm one time when driving an F12 and his son was with him driving an Aventador which had the advantage of AWD. He goes to Monaco every year and then visits friends at the Ferrari factory plus they always give him the new Ferrari to drive while he is there. He didn't really enjoy the 458 Speciale but thought the Italia was perfect...
I can only imagine driving any of these cars in the snow if they are on their standard tires! He just strikes me as being a "straight shooter" and the more I've lived and learned, I've come to realize just how easy this is to say but so so difficult to achieve.
Andrew Frankel is a tool. A pompous moron with no taste and even less skill. I had the displeasure of speaking with him for 15 min. at the lookout above the Rock Store. The only thing you need to know about Andrew is that the BMW Z8 is one of his favourite cars.
