Agree Tim - an interesting article but one with precious few insights into the actual driving experience. Perhaps the "no track use" restriction was an issue as the limits cannot be sensibly explored on the road, but something more in-depth on the dynamics of this wonderful car would have been welcome. Without that, the grandiose conclusions have little to be based on.

It's a shame that the Autocar review also appears to have been curtailed by wet Welsh roads.

Awaiting a print review that does this car justice....

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I know it's the wrong thread, but here's a photo of my Grigio Ferro Speciale.

I eagerly bought EVO this month in anticipation of this review.I buy EVO and Octane every month.
At the risk of sounding "ancient" what has happened to motoring journalism ?
I grew up with Steve Cropley etc writing for CAR.I bought every edition of SUPERCAR CLASSICS.Regardless of the changes at EVO (which sound ominous) everything is now bite sized/picture based and without content.I resolved yesterday never to buy a motoring magazine again.A bit like giving up drinking I'm sure I will break the resolution but please can we get proper journalism back again.

AN is one of the very best colors for the Tdf. Randy and Camlet cars are so sick.

I prefer the silver wheels. Works perfectly

Ahahaha Really. I clearly prefer silver wheels on argento cars

I like black wheels only on grey and white cars. I love silver wheels I never had anything against them
And because of you I generally like black wheels less and less.

Randy, congratulations! What a gorgeous car! AN looks great on the TDF and I agree: silver wheels! No black holes :)

Even though I am no wordsmith, the actual emotions this car elicits while driving is hard to capture adequately with words alone. It just sends tingles, shivers etc etc every time, especially when I get the opportunity to let her rip on a freeway on ramp or deserted warehouse district on a Sunday afternoon. Last Sunday my son and I were just left speechless staring at each other after using launch and a brief but 'enthusiastic' run around some deserted streets. I love my SpecA, and it is certainly easier to drive at the limit than the TDF, but only the TDF can deliver the ultimate visceral experience I have had to date in any car. Looking forward to collecting my 991 R in a few weeks to compare the rawness of the two.

    Gorgeous. Love the bordeux interior.

It would be great if you could to drive a 599 GTO to compare it to. Great write up.

    +1
