Put these people in order of top to bottom. When I say "current" I mean those running this last year including Rosberg who just won 1 is best. Here they are Listed Alphabetically Alonso Button Hamilton Raikkonen Rosberg Vettel
Hamilton (Should regain form now the incessant 'chanting' in the Motorhome has stopped!) Alonso Vettel Raikkonen Button Rosberg
Same old question: Define best. Best for what was needed 2016 is a different best for what was needed 2005 or 2014. Pointless exercise, if you ask me.
1. Max Verstappen (he's currently driving and an F1 champion, it's just not in the books yet!) 2. Ham 3. Alonso 4. Vettel 5. Raikkonen 6. Rosberg 7. Button
Simple, for me the best is the one I like best. I have no shame being absolutely bias in this matter !! So, here it goes: Rosberg Raikkonen Vettel Button Alonso Hamilton
For winning a WCC Raikkonen Rosberg Button . . . . Alonso Vettel Hamilton For winning a WDC with an unskilled back marker co-driver Alonso Vettel Hamilton Button Raikkonen Rosberg For winning a WDC with a super star co-driver Rosberg Vettel Button Raikkonen Hamilton Alonso
Alonso Vettel Kimi Button Nico Massa - should have been champ over Lewis if it wasn't for Glock letting Lewis by on the last turn. I'm not putting Lewis on the list for a few reasons. He's always had teammate problems, never a team player. He cries when he doesn't get his way, that was proven when the Team orders came through on the last race. He's only acting better because of a new PR manager, I'm assuming. I also think that if you put - Alonso, Vettel, or Kimi in the Merc - Lewis and Nico would be last. The Merc is just that much quicker. Side note - Is there hope that Ferrari can come back to form in 2017?
I'm still digesting his numerous statements in the 'Rosberg sucks' thread and various other threads being completely repudiated. I don't mean to be the wrong police, but I'm not sure when he's going to start paying attention. He was dead wrong about Mercedes when I said for years they were going to wipe the floor with the entire field in such a way that we have never seen before. He was wrong about Nico not being a top driver, as he clearly is. He was wrong about Nico bagging a championship. The indicators were all there but the imaginary voices said otherwise. For whatever reason, tifosi12 hangs onto Nico as being a midfield driver so he might maintain that Schumacher was bested by a midfield driver. I've never seen anyone hold such a grudge against someone so loved. Dogging Nico is his way to maintain that inner monologue against Mr. one hand swimming pool pole lap. If Schu's comeback had to be described in one sentence, it would be that he had a series of undriveable bad cars but he still put it on pole one handed at the most terrifying track on earth. Ask Vettel or Kimi about what a bad car can do to ones performance. We've all been going around in circles for years now.
In all fairness, albeit being a relative newcomer here, T12 has always begrudgingly stated that Schuey is right up there as a GOAT. 100% agree with you re his comeback, and personally believe he was very unlucky in his final year - and the icing on the cake was getting shafted by MB when they signed Hamilton, leaving him with no drive. Best, Sammy
