I argue LaF would never of been electric had it not been for green sensibility laws. Who wants the added weight, complexity and questionable long term reliability of hybrid in their super car ?

And IIRC he also nailed the 360 replacement.

Do you still have that sketch of the F430 ingegnere?

    ...and the 430 replacement, too.

Most of my sketches are in an album in my profile.

    Thanks.

    Interesting, did you like it?

I am intrigued by the slit in the rear fender - does it cut through the fender line like the tdf, or is it sited lower on the fender?

How different is this from the current F12's vent on the fender?

I was driving this morning from northern Italy to Germany and saw what I am pretty sure was the mule testing. It was covered in black fabric but was clearly front engined, low and very fast. It was just north of Lugano and it was heading for home so I only saw it for an instant. It had lovely proportions and looked good on the road. Not sure what else it would have been. The lights were stunning.

Funny day on the roads today, in spite of cold weather saw two Aventadors out in it as well as a rare 964 speedster

Ingegnere nailed the 599 as well. C'mon ingegnere please do a sketch! Even if it's off your sketches are great and it's fun to try to decipher and guess the design before it's out.

Thanks I see it now. That's really strange, I was on that page before and the sketch didn't appear. I think it was my phone or something. Interesting take on the camo. I had a different impression on the scallop. Ingegnere has been right many times. We'll see.

Ferrari have specifically said that the power benefit is superior to the weight penalty. The end result seems to vinficate them.

You may be right about the scallop. I'm reworking the sketch with a backwards sweep of the fender vent (a la TRS and simulated on Lusso) and guess at the single slit in the rear fender.

    Stay tuned...

    The questions are

    1. if the 'slit' is in the front part or rear part of the rear fender. This will give us a good idea if it's an air intake or outlet.
    3. The opening in the front part of the rear fender that you included in your sketch will actually be there or not? At first I really thought it was for sure. When looking at the other photos I'm not positive. It's seems that if it's there it may be too busy with the door handles.

It is both, an intake and then an outlet as well, all in one, and not like the three as on the tdf.
    And not vertical.

The drawing was a simplistic silhouette sketch like the one on the box for the LaFerrari Spider when they sent the key to the future owners.

The single slit is in a similar area to the TDF triple vents on the rear fender. It was just a single line on the drawing.

The rear fender vent was approximately where the rear vent on the TDF rear fender is located

Close enough, LOL! ;-) Thanks again for the input.

Looking forward to seeing how they incorporated a slit there and if they tied it into some other feature.

Slightly tweaked, notwithstanding the incorrectly sited slit:

Your sketch is awesome and very close to what I believe the final car will look like. Thank you for sharing your talents!

Current model's (f12) rear end looks FUGLY. Both from the profile view and from the back.

I do hate that part , because in profile the rear end looks too short. Like it was cut or smth.

I'm pretty sure that they will improve it. Classical 4 tail lights will be sweet.

And I really hope that they will make its rear longer.
Smth like this would be nice

P.s. Is this a new model, or just a restyle of the f12?

You're welcome, my pleasure. Glad you like it.

It's part of the unveiling process to try to guess what's hiding under the camo and what inspiration was used in the design. I'm hoping this one will look as much as possible like the TRS.

It's the mid-cycle upgrade, albeit probably quite substantial.

Looks like all new bodywork (except greenhouse) and tweaked mechanicals on the existing chassis. In the vein of Cali -> Cali T, 458 -> 488 and FF -> Lusso.

Agreed, the TRS is one of the best looking designs in Ferrari's modern era.
