Awesome effort and from everything I have heard, I think it's very close. What I find interesting is that Ferrari should launch, albeit to the dealers, in a matte dark grey (happy DC?), more of a Lamborghini move as they seem to accept matte as mainstream or just trying to tone down the look. I am interested to hear more about the interior which I assume will be far more GT than the stripped tdf? Anyone seen anything?
Am sure it will be like Aperta and revealed at GENEVA, my aperta had the name taped over for private viewings in Italy. Early days for name maybe ?
Marvellous. Careful, Ferrari will offer you a job. I'm down for a very early one and if your draft is close, very nice too. I wonder if you and Milanno could join forces so we can begin the wonderfully tortuous process of deciding which spec
Thanks - I'm good doing special aerospace projects but wouldn't mind drawing cars all day. Best wishes for happy motoring with your new F12M/Daytona/(?) V12-powered sled.
my dealer (China) just called me to say they now have the internal code for the car and I can place my order now. Code for the car is F152BCE....not sure if that is country specific or not.
oh another piece of import info is that the displacement submitted to Chinese customs for the car is 6496CC, looks like a 0.2L bump from the F12. So I guess 760HP at least. I guess less headline HP number than TdF but more torque.
My dealer stated that it will have a 'new' engine which I interpreted as a larger displacement rather than an all new V12 so the Chinese customs information supports this. Also confirmed customer previews in Maranello late Jan/early Feb which I hope to attend.
It's not complicated at all. You put three small papers in a glass. You write "Silverstone" on the first. "Canna di fucile" on the second. "Grigio Ferro" on the third. You pick one up.
If true, perhaps this new engine is designed to integrate with other sources of supplemental power in the future - electric hybrid?
Hybrid doesn't mean Turbocharged. Therefore it can make sense to create a new V12 more efficient, designed to work with the upcoming electric units.
Hahahaha. If only my friend. My 599 GTB was in glorious GS, and the GTO as you know is GF. I still managed to spend countless hours imaging every detail on both in my mind. The TDF set an all-time-record. That's part of the delicious masochist joy of the journey
