It will work but don't expect to be able to control anything on your iPhone from the radio

I don't see how it can work. The lightning cable only has a digital output. The old apple 30pin had an analog output so did work. The apple lightning to 30pin adapter has a built in DA so works. Unless your headunit can handle a digital input you are better off getting the cable that also has the 1/8" headphone plug.

You may be on to something. Do you know of one? How about a way to stream over bluetooth like in my Mercedes COMAND radio? Any adaptor allow that?

Do a thread search for "$20 Bluetooth fix". There is a small Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the end of the 30 pin apple connector in the glove box. It's amazing. I use it all the time. You can stream music.
If you don't have the cable get both and you can stream all day long as it's powered by the cable.

It's called an aluratek. On Amazon. Search for the above mentioned thread for details.

The 30-pin / adaptor setup works, but will not charge my iPhone 5s.

This thing looks cool. What do you guys think about this 30 pin connector it is a bit cheaper and claims to work with Ferrari Becker 6105 radio which I have? Only $49.99.

Yep, that's the cable. As mentioned, plugs right
In the back. You need the radio keys to insert to remove
The radio from the dash. They came with the car
But you can buy them on eBay or maybe borrow a set.

You can directly plug in an older iPod, or
Use the alumateck as above or a third option
Is a 30 pin to lightening adapter cable from Apple

The adapter cable's orientation Into an iPhone or iPod
Is important. If no sound, unplug and reverse the side.

so was this ever concluded? Will the new style lighting connector one work with an 06 headunit? (no nav)

Otherwise I am thinking about getting the headphone plug style, simple enough it should work, and I can charge my phone via the cigarette lighter anyways.

BLAU/8-3.5MS Aux Input Cable for select Blaupunkt & Becker (3 ft) :: Auxiliary Input Adapters

    Will this one work?

btw why do some of them have the blue connector only:
iL-BKR Apple Lightning Adapter for select Becker Radios with AUX Option :: iPod Adapters & Interfaces
BLAU/8-3.5MS Aux Input Cable for select Blaupunkt & Becker (3 ft) :: Auxiliary Input Adapters

and some have the green and blue?

iP-BKR2 iPod Adapter for Becker and other Radios with "AUX" Menu Setting :: iPod Adapters & Interfaces

and the tool to remove the radio is this?
BRRT Becker Radio Removal Tools :: Accessories

Sorry about the dumb questions I am totally clueless about this kind of thing.

    Thank you!

So the options at hand depend on what Becker radio was installed. Can you take a pic and post ?

If it's an earlier model, there pin diagram is identical to Becker. The top most block (there are 3) on the radio controls the amp, and the blue block is for the CD player. The last 3 wires on it are for the stereo sound input. You can get a charge on the phone with the amp output potentially... But there isn't anything REALLY good on the earlier radios (all black).

If you have the later Cascade model, there is an adaptor you can get that actually controls the phone and audio. If it's an earlier model... Maybe has support..

If an earlier radio you'll need removal keys that look like this to get it out:

I believe it was the old model, since mine is an 06. This is the best picture J have, could you confirm?
