I've praised Alonso for his skills for long enough but never liked him, only started to kinda like him end of last year. The more I looked into Mclaren 2007 the more I agree with what he's done.

Hamilton remains a spoiled brat, always has been. He tries to play the innocent party at all times, guilty or not, that I absolutely can't stand. We all remember those kids in school that did that, and all of them continue to do that in their adult lives. And all deserve to be ****ted round the head over and over. Is he a good driver? Well, whose to argue with 3 titles? Certainly above average. But not a great. And his fans are the absolute worse. Broken record one eyed idiots that have zero understanding of the sport, most of them are morons with loud voices.

I truly hope Hamilton will NOT join Ferrari. I can easily ignore his side of the garage like I did with Alonso, not much else I can do about it...perhaps if I order a Ferrari I'll write the check to Ferrari with specific instructions of not to dedicate it to Hamilton's pockets...

So much Hamilton hate on here... especially from the brits....typical I guess... we always like have a wonderful, delightful, chipy, chap who's happy to come second...god forbid we actually have a winner that's pissed when he looses....Thank Christ Winston Churchill wasn't like that... Sorry rant over...

    Hamilton
    Alonso
    Vettel
    Kimi
    Jenson
    Nico..

While a Lewis, Fernando team next year would be awesome, I don't think Alonso is emotionally capable of having his arse handed to him every week which im sure Lewis would do. I think Mercedes should tempt Button out of retirement, he doesn't give a crap about winning another championship at all costs, hes not going to run Lewis off the track, but will pick up wins, podiums and points at every race, construtors #4 for MB

Where's the respect for button from, if all those people here don't respect the current world champion because he only wants one title....... yet it's trumpeted that button won't chase titles and worry about it, so why isn't he being villified, and people asking him back out of retirement..... I think it's a desire to give Elton the easy rise he needs to get a title. If he has someone as good as Nico, he might not win it

Well that seals it then... Ferrari will never sign him now.....damn

yet im sure you applauded the german lad who won a bunch of races because his team mates were ordered to follow him, and to my knowledge is the only driver to be excluded from a championship season for ..shall we say foul play ??

Really ?? seriously you think Lewis is more arrogant than MS...your kidding me right ?? and as for "arrogant whiner " have you ever work with Ferrari or just Italians for that matter.. Oh and Ferrari have been trying to sign LH since 98....and they still are... Lewis Hamilon's last F1 race will be in a Ferrari... and he will wear a Senna themed helmet...

For me, bas, I didn't appreciate Alonso on the basis he beat schumi to two titles, and I knew he was very very good, and would prevent ferrari winning while he wasn't with us. When he joined, I was able to support him in his tenure with us, as I knew he was a great racer, not Michael great, but pretty darn good.

The difference is that Elton is just such an unlikeable person, he polarises people like marmite, you either love him, or you absolutely detest him. I find the way the stewards seem more terrified of upsetting him than on making good decisions adds to reasons why he is such ******. He plays on his race, his supposed background, the ridiculous "gangsta' bull**** (let's face it, if he went into south central, they'd make him 'tossed salad' within a few minutes - fake wannabe)

I can't see ferrari falling for the nightmare team scenario he creates, when there are faster and better drivers all over the grid

Interesting....in your opinion Hamilton is so god that he would "hand the arse" to the second on your list every single week, but at the same time the fifth on your list won the last Championship over him and the fourth on the list even got more points over a three (!) years period...now that makes perfect sense ;)
I am glad that the others are haters and you are not biased in the same way ;)

Jenson is just a class bloke...Nico is a class bloke... I have the utmost respect for both..I think Nico retiring on top was very brave, but also a sign that he had achieved something he really didn't think would ever happen... and who can blame him.. he hasn't beaten Lewis to a championship in 18 years of racing and friendship, and you really could see the strain and pressure release on him after it finally happened. Who can blame him for not wanting to be under that pressure again...Nico wanted to win the championship and hes done it..
Jenson is more like Kimi, very laid back, totally in control of who he is, and doesn't give a crap about what anyone thinks of him, loves driving F1 cars and is pretty damn good at it, they will drive a car as fast as they feel comfortable with that set up and on the day they are unbeatable..... the masters of the game, Fangio, Moss, Clark, Hill, Lauda, Prost , Senna , Hamilton, Alonso get the car by the scruff of the neck and drag it higher than it should be

To be honest I think Lewis would rather have Alonso as a team mate than Jenson, not because one might be faster than the other, but because I think Lewis needs an antagonist on the other side of the garage

Not a hater and not biased , and hes good but not a god.... Lewis scored the same amount of points in his debut year as Alonso, a 2 time world champ..that speaks for itself.. 5th on my list is Jenson who won in 09 in a car that had a far superior aerodynamic advantage over the entire field...but full credit to Brawn and Jenson for making full use of it, and 4th (kimi) got more points than LH over 3 years... help me with that one ..

I just don't understand the hate of Hamilton. Sure he's not everyones cup of tea socially, I get that, but as far as driving an F1 car as fast as it can be driven... not to many peeps have done or do it better....

Just FYI hes not my "favorite" F1 driver im just respectful of his abilities

Your list makes no sense based on what you wrote. If Hamilton is so much better than Alonso, then why couldn't he handle Nico? Should have blown him out the past 3 years.

I think he sort of did..2 championships to one, and but for that blown engine in Malaysia maybe 3-0.. who knows. More race wins, more poles. Of course Nico kept him honest, he's a fine driver in a car that was far and away the class of the field, neither MB driver was ever going to finish lower than second.

They are all great and deserving champions and are for sure the top 0.1% of drivers in the world. I just think that of the people on the list LH and FA are the most capable at dragging an unforgiving car by the scruff of the neck and making it do what it doesn't want to, when the need arises. Just my humble opinion..

LH lost the championship with his driving, not because of one mechanical. Nico was consistently faster than him on average this year until he took a little off to cruise to the championship. If LH doesn't have the mechanical, then Nico would have driven more aggressively to secure the championship; he didn't need to.

I think Alonso has that reputation, not Lewis does he? Asking - not telling. What crappy car did Lewis repeatedly drag up the standings?

Either way, that's a bit different than saying that he will hand Alonso his arse every week...that's what caught my attention. I find it hard to believe LH (or any of the top drivers in the same car) could do that to Alonso.

    IF is F1 spelled backwards.

Could've also easily been 2-1 in Rosbergs favour.

Hamilton has had 1 dnf this season because of engine failure, he's had a few other not at fault issues, but so has Rosberg (also mechanical issues and hit by others).

Hamilton able to do what Alonso did with the Ferrari? Looking at the years he did with Button, Button outscored him over that period so I highly doubt it. He was expected to slaughter Button, he didn't...he was expected to slaughter Rosberg, he didn't. Hamilton is very strong in qualifying yet Kovalainen was incredibly close to him...

What's with all the illogical hate for hamilton on here? I am a rosberg fan and think he's a deserving champion but to say Lewis lost the championship on his own accord is simply not correct. Nico got very lucky in that Lewis probably lost over 80 points to mechanical failures. Reliability being equal nico would not have won the title - that is fact.

Most other f1 forums adopt a much more balanced view of things which for some reason seems to be absent here.

Either way you slice it alonso and hamilton will go down as two of the best drivers of all time. Just hope they share a car next year so we can see an epic battle.

    My choice

Alonso --for pushing a piece of junk higher up in the line up than anyone else could
Kimi (post getting his new contract) -- for beating Vettel most of the time
Hamilton -- I think he would do well in any of the top 6 cars
Rosberg -- steady driving albeit in a vastly superior car
Vettel -- just can't seem to get it done when it counts
    Button-- going through the motions

I would love to know your source that claimed ferrari have been trying to sign Elton for years, and claims he will end up at ferrari. I've worked extremely closely with ferrari at times, and have spoken to many senior people at scuderia. All of whom have categorically, in informal settings with no pressure, tempered to me that he is a loose cannon they wouldn't be able to employ. The opinion throughout was that other drivers were worth far more, due to the balance required within the team at ferrari.

His attitude will need a total overhaul, essentially a personality bypass, for him to get a job there, but hey, what do I know, marchione likes destroying moral, these the perfect hand grenade to destroy his share price
