This would have already been sold if I still had my F355.

I might have bought this if this was made in Plain Weave carbon instead of the twill weave version shown.

Any before and after dyno results?

 

There's a recent thread somewhere in the 355 section that reports with some slight modifications to the filter system inside they add around 10hp I believe. (off the top of my head).

Stock, as they are there isn't much of an improvement. But the modifications were pretty straight forward and not costly so overall I'd say you're paying for the increased induction noise and maybe 10rwhp...which isn't bad when you consider how hard it is to squeeze out any more power out of these already high strung motors, without sacrificing drivability and putting a serious dent in your wallet of course.

 

the whole box is it just hollow..?

im sure if someone really wanted.. they could modify the intake tube configuration to make this fit on a 5.2 car..

its a nice piece.. but never grasped what was behind their design other then aesthetics..?

the 5.2 version looks like a pair fallopian tubes..

 

Not likely as the maf would be right at the face of the box. (No room for another "Y" to connect to the filter ports)
