Very true battery is super expensive - But as the years go by battery tech improves So say in 5 years time you need to replace one, it'll probably be a vast improvement in terms of power and performance and maybe even lighter
+1 I took my FF to a school charity fundraiser in the summer. I don't recall any of the teenagers mentioning the words hybrid, CO2, Tesla etc. And when I opened the bonnet to show off the V12, it had the same effect it with the kids it has on adult petrolheads.

It would be interesting if they had taken up the concept of the excavation in the door as in this sketch by Militello I also really like the interpretation of the rear pillar 599 style
Totally right - been banging on about this for two years here in a minority. Just wait till driverless public transport kicks in they will not allow us any fun, will be GPS monitored speeding tickets.
I disagree. I think the European muscle car movement--all Mercedes, BMWs, Maseratis with loud and made to seem loud V8s and straightline speed--is a response to the flying Prius (man they are aggresive where I live!). These cars are purchased in my American community in response to the Tesla and Prius and the values associated with purchasing electric.
Go ahead and change F1 to full electric and without sound and I wonder how many people will still be watching. Oh wait a minute, the current V6 F1 sound is so diminished that even regular road going V12, especially from a Ferrari, sounds better than a current F1 car.
I was talking about being forced into public transportation and GPS-determined ticketing. like I said...you won't see that here without a huge legal/Constitutional battle.

Interesting how this test car isn't red. Can anyone tell what color it actually is? I wonder what the reveal color will be?
Then we will see what is the right price for a TDF! would be the same story as for the 599 gto pricing after the indroduction of the F12 and F12 tdf!!
Sounds good-the price went up after the F12 was introduced! Prices have since suffered on Speciale and possibly tdf, not just the GTO, but it's the numbers of GTO's on the market, at least in the U.K., and suspect production number, that may weigh more heavily. The tdf is a totally different car to the M, probably currently the most visceral expression of Ferrari DNA as a journalist said, the M will be very different. Ferrari knows their business. That said, you do have to question how much longer Ferrari can keep all the balls in the air with their Limited plan especially now that we are told to expect more of them and probably longer runs.
Such an astute observation, as you say the business model inevitably ends with higher LE production numbers and/or very irritated customers many of whom have been strung along by dealers. My 70th a great example where I would be "wise" to take car I have no need for.
I do think the TDF is a stunning car but no reason to think it will settle much above GTO given respective numbers and rawness of GTO gearbox which is differentiated
I think that's right and more of a personal choice. To my eyes, tdf is the best looking F car since the 275 and I love the historical design hints. Speaking of being strung along, I have just been told by my dealer I would be wise to do the Challenge series if I wanted to improve my profile. Three line factory whip and where does this end?
Out if curiosity - So how much is that per year? Challenge cars also depreciate quite a bit from what I can tell
I would be careful being sucked into this. I owned a 458 Challenge but didn't race it. The depreciation is massive primarily because it's so hard to resell. Budget £300k per year to do the Challenge series excluding the cost of the car Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I looked into this a while back - minimum £250k/year + car + travel + time commitment. Even before we get to the costs, the latter was a deal killer for me - 6 race weekends and testing. For the cash rich - time poor, you feel a gentle steer towards XX programmes which seems to have better hit ratio for LE wannabes.
