Can someone do a side by side photo of this vs the 488 Spider? That will show just how much of a step forward this design is. Well done Ferrari! The first properly successful piece of post Pinin design in my view.

This is the best looking Ferrari I can think of for a long time. Carrying that black line around the front and up the door, the splayed rear panel diving under a spoiler - hood spoiler from the Sergio, great wheels with a hint of throwback. Ughhhh.

I can see most here find it beautiful but I agree with the few who don't like it. The front end reminds me of an M1 for some reason...or maybe it's a different car but I can't put a finger on it. The design just looks too busy/messy. I personally prefer the simpler and cleaner lines of a 458.

Overall it's a good looking car but Ferraris are supposed to be the most beautiful, this is just on par with a McLaren or Lamborghini. Somebody definitely needs to call Pininfarina!

The front hood looks like a Camaro.

Yuck. A less ugly, more practically, but still ugly Sergio.

Big thumbs up here. It's something refreshing.

But I'm missing a restyled interior.

I think it looks really bad...can't see a Ferrari in it....just some sort of vulgar supercar...some nice details in it but i just don't like the design..

    Cool, thanks for posting.

If the price were equal, who would choose a standard 488 spider over this one? Not me. This car has way more visual drama.

    Viva la J50. :)

A short blurb from Andrea Militello the designer who worked on the project talking about Ferrari design in general.

Speaking of outstanding do you have any more pictures of your stunning Blu Elettrico 488 that you can post in the picture thread? What kind of reaction have you been getting from people when driving it? How many miles on her?

everything but the front looks fantabulous!

i do appreciate the thoughtfulness of all the hidden hardware within the black f50/f40-inspired black line. the ambers, parking sensors, drls, bumper mounts etc all hidden behind it.

Quite some time ago I posted a comment on previous Special edition cars and how their staying comes forward into new cars: regular series or LE/SE.
Look no further than the Japanese collector's SE 430 that presaged the 458's single rear light or the 458's roof line/bi color roof.
So, I would not be surprised if some of the elements here are carried over as I mentioned above in my previous post.
