In 2004, you could buy an Enzo below list. In 2011, you could drive out of a dealership with a GTO at MSRP. Once the froth comes out of this market that blindly equates limited production numbers with value (not just F-cars), I imagine we would be back to business as usual. Probably just a question of when rather than if, regardless of the change in world wealth demographics. Until then, the last drop will be milked, leaving less money on the table for LE buyers with higher prices and greater "required" spend on activities.

And finally we have the answer to the question many asked about leaving money on the table with limited edition cars especially the Hyper cars. There is a thread in the challenge cars section on how much it costs to participate in the challenge series and the costs are eye watering. Ferrari leaves very little on the table with the pricing of the LE and Hyper cars and going forward that will be the case even more so.

Was informed by my dealer today to expect an invitation to attend the preview in Italy for sometime in Feb, dates and venue yet to be confirmed.

I'm sure they will do one event so we are surely talking nag about the same event. Domthing similar to the recent gtc4lusso global reveal.

If the event is "scale" and a large gathering I may pass, I like going to the factory etc and its a big commitment for some cheese and wine and kicking the tyres, maybe just watch the media and leaks on hear.

Launch for LE cars is personal but M maybe not as too many interested parties.

I would love to do the Challenge series...could there be anymore fun (if I could afford it comfortably) ? That said, if my motivation to do so is to get on the hyper car LE list, then I just wouldn't do it. The fact of the matter is...the LE hyper cars will continue to be hybrid. As nice as the LaF is, I don't want batteries and electric motors in my ultimate sports car...period. To me the last great LE Ferrari car just happened...(TDF).

Do you really think they will do an LE edition of the M ?
If they do, maybe all the current TDF owners will dump their cars and I will have my chance to get one...:D

But the new Challenge cars are Turbos and will prob switch to Hybrid in 6-8 years so the challenge series is already a no go for you :)

What I want for my street pleasure car does not dictate what I like on the track. Ferrari, Porsche, Vette, Mazda....NA, Turbo, SC, Hybrid....as long as I am on a track going fast, I'm happy.
