Thanks so much folks. It hits a lot of the right buttons for me too. I swear, I can drive this car and if it even misbehaves slightly, I look at it and all is forgiven. This is a human being with wire wheels.

I've had a few PMs about 'more info and pictures please' for which I've supplied, but figured I'd release "The Rest of the Story" right here. <--Trying to upload a PDF referred to here. Can't for some reason.>

A couple more pics for the inquisitive.

Please PM me if you have independent questions or comments needing clarification.

One thing I've learned over the years here - Adams Hudson has some fine cars and they are at a standard that any collector/buyer should be more than ecstatic with. If you are seeking an e-type - oh yeah, this one is a great choice!

Is this car in the Huntsville area of Alabama? Beautiful car, GLWS!

Thanks Mang. The professionals call it OCD (Obsessive Car Disorder, right?) and I've determined there's no cure, only managing. Loving the Scorpion by the way! Outstanding color and condition.

No, that's not me. Actually due to visit your fair city soon though (yet not in the Etype!)

Well I made an assumption that perhaps you were related to the owners of Hudson Alpha medical here in town. Enjoy your visit to the Rocket City when you come! We have a pretty diverse car scene here with more than a few EType's though none the caliber of yours.

Sorry, just saw this. Yes, Huntsville is the surprise car domain of Alabama, as you have a few specialty shops (Miller Motorcars, etc) of which I was unaware until recently.

Anyway, the E type got loaded onto a car hauler, was en route to New Mexico for final detailing before the auction in a month.

The story on the car and a few indulgent shots...

Have e-types pulled back this much or are they looking to get folks engaged. I thought series 1 OTS cars were well over 200K for a near 100pt car. Hope it blows through the estimate.

Shouldn't those door levers be in a vertical orientation?

(Just yanking your chain. The car is fantastic. Best of luck at the auction.)

I'm thinking this is a pricing strategy for them, possibly to hold the crowd there after the $2.7-3m Enzo that immediately precedes it. There's another E type that is, to my eye, comparable with a $240-275k estimate. Or maybe mine'll be the best buy of the auction!

Ha! I found them easier to use in horizontal. Thanks for the well wishes.

I'm running Dunlop (sympathetic choice due to OEM) 205/70/15s on 6" polished stainless 'curly hub' wheels. Somebody had put a set of Series II flat dish 6" wheels on it which were in fine shape, but the curly hub set it off visually (to me) and fit the period.

The Dunlops ride well, fill out the wheelwells nicely enough. They handle as well as I'm ever going to push the car. Others have run up to 225s (Jaguar Forum is your friend on this topic) but with no power steering and a cast iron engine that weighs the same as a small office building, the 205s were my compromise. Best to you on your car!

...lovely car sir!...I would never sell such an OUTSTANDING specimen!...I own a series II...1970...was a 99 point car then the owner drove it about 1,000 miles after it was judged...still a great car ...was restored by an e type specialist in suburban Philadelphia ...Reggie Ray who unfortunately pass away too young...I love my car...love ALL e types...best of luck to you in the coming year and hope you get "all the money"! My first E type was a 1970 OTS, had it in college and paid a monstrous $7700 for it (1979-ish), and it 'seemed' like a much older car even then. But I was coming out of a 1967 Healey 3000 Mk III, so by my standard of judgement, it was a spaceship.

Loved that E type, and later moved to a V12 E that I assumed would be better. It wasn't. Went back to the Series 1 cars and haven't looked back. Your Series II car is a great, driveable, very moddable car. Makes all the right noises, has 'the look', plus you can use it!

Thanks man, especially for reading all of that! I plan to print and hand those out at the auction for the terminally bored. Or those whose wives and checkbooks need justification. We shall see.
