Ok, he's email address doesn't work anymore... The website is closed and no way to find images from him... What i found when i search for SMC transkit is the pictures from me...

I really hope it's just a temporary problem, i hope he as no trouble with Maserati or Pininfarina...

I really like he's transkit, well made. I have one Birdcage 75th in the past for one customer, the kit is impressive!

I also talked to Fein Design, and the Maserati 300 1/24th scale kit will be out in February 2017. Very fine slot car kit maker, but very good for curbside also.

SMC is still selling the 1/24th Maserati Birdcage kits. I am waiting for more info on the other kits.

Another version of the Hiro 1/12th McLaren MP4/5B, the one in wich Mr. Senna drove the Prost Ferrari 641 off the track and admitted it was on purpose so that he (Senna) would win the 1990 F1 championship!!! People seem to forget what a talented ass Senna was.

    Next Hiro:

    1/12th scale Ferrari P2 or P3 or also a 1966 312 F1 kit????. I hope it is not a P3 as I already have the fantastic Mini Delta P3 kits. Could also be a Dino 206S :).

Also from Hiro in 1/43rd scale... I wish Hiro did not waste time doing another P3 kit in 1/12th scale. They could have done a 206S or #6885 along with a 330 LMB or D50 or 312PB ect.. So many cars that have not been done(206S was done in a very high quality curbside kit by Ultimate and later a reissue with motor but are very hard to find).

Getting off topic but, in death, Senna became a bible-carrying mystic. A deep and spiritual man operating on a different plane to us mere mortals. Instead of the manipulative self-centered prick he clearly was in actuality, lol. I wonder if he was ever professionally evaluated to see where he fell on the DSM-IV scale?

Always the same error !! The de Portago's car is a 1954 Scaglietti prototype (with a new nose at the Carrera Panamericana) : then, it must have rounded rear archs instead of the standard ones...

I completely agree with you Tom. I just don't understand some choices, unless they are trying to save some money & time and maximize use and/or modify some existing masters, art work etc.....whatever.

Who knows their reasons, but I too wish they had chosen to make any of the cars you listed.

Dino 206S is made by Ultimate and Mathilde.

Just heard the Minidelta P3's are all sold out the rumor is only 40 were made, but I haven't confirmed that with Patrick yet.

Those are the same pictures and model I posted before. I am sure I will have to make some minor and maybe major adjustments to the kit, but it still looks pretty good to start with. All kits are like that, and being a kit you can change it. When you buy a resin or diecast model you are sort of stuck unless you strip the paint and modify.

Yes, with a little work on the real archs, the model will be beautiful !

Next FPPM kits. He says he will do the Porsche 550 1953/1954 Spider and then the Ferrari 553 both in 1/24th scale.

The Aston Martin AM V8 Lemans is now ready.

Update on the 1/12th Hiro Ferrari. The motor and gearbox(ZF) is a 412P and 412P's did use P3 slotted style wheels on some cars. They say 3 versions so it could also be a 330 P3 using parts from that 412P motor and a Ferrari gearbox+ fuel injection. We will see after the 1st of the year.

    Happy Holidays.

Another one from FPPM, the Bugatti T251 French GP 1956 in 1/24th scale. This company is on a roll making some really interesting cars everyone else is afraid to do.

Also FPPM has some more exciting 1/24th scale pre war vintage race cars in the pipe line. Several are red :)
