Beautiful car. Enjoy. They are such a blast to drive. Cannot wait for the weather to get better, hoping to go to FCA in Daytona in April.
Congrats, Wade. Very glad to see you back in a 348 again. The car looks fantastic. Please let us know what you think of it after you've put some miles on it. I'd be interest to hear how you'd contrast it with your former TS. My only experience with TBs is on the track so I'm curious what differences you notice on the road. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Looks like it's going to be a good one.
Wondering the same thing myself. He's said it's a Tubi but my Tubi has quad outlets so either it's a different version or it's another make. I'm curious how it sounds as well.
For the 30 seconds that they look clean! Don't get Me wrong, I love black cars but My God they're terrible for showing up dirt! Enjoy!
Dang it Phil, you know how much I hate agreeing with you and it's happening way to often these days. Cleaned up the black car last night in hopes of getting it road legal again today in case I have the opportunity to enjoy it over the holidaZe. It's like chasing your tail-- by the time you go around the car the point where you started is dirty again. But gosh darn it, black is THE colo(u)r for 348s. Merry Christmas to you and yours, Phil. An X1/9 guy can't be all bad, even if he drinks warm beer and eats entrail pies.
I've even got the traditional English crooked teeth! (To be fair though, that was as a result of catching a chunk of metal that flew out of a lathe with My mouth a few years back! - Not the smartest thing I've ever done! ) A black X1/9 wouldn't be too bad! - At least it's small enough to give you a chance to get around it in time to see it totally clean for a few seconds! I hope you and all you family and friends have a great Christmas too!
Yes, differences noted already is how solid the car sounds when closing the doors, and how easy the clutch effort is (single disc now, dual before). The ad said a Tubi, but this car has all of the heat shields so a closer look will come later. So far it sounds a bit raspy, in a good way. Merry Christmas to both of you guys.
