It's Blu Medio. I have only found 3 cars with this color but none on a TS other than this one. There was one in this color on a TB sold in Monterey with grey interior last year, and another on a right hand drive in UK, and 1 F40.
Interesting. Good info to have, since I wasn't aware that such a thing existed. I wonder if it's a different version or if it just has different tips.
So glad too see my old car has been well taken care of and in good hands. The exhaust is a tubi and the PO before me had those custom tips added. He wasn't a fan of the quad setup. I like his choice as they suit the car Again congrats and take care of your new Canadian mistress haha
Thanks Rob, and for the background info on the tips. My Uncle (Dad's brother) wife was Canadian. She was a wild one back in the day. Also, I've found that the Canadian 348s didn't have a front fog light switch. Maybe hard-wired "always on" as Daytime Running Lights (DRL)? I'll check the bulbs as you suggested. CDN first, then US, followed by AUS/EUR. . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Okay, I've heard of Blu Medio, one of the Mondial guys has one. Yes, really nice, and rare. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/142796591-post392.html Here are a couple of photos of a 348 in Blu Medio w/ Grey from my files. No other info unfortunately. Appears to be a 1989 U.S. car. . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's a great color combination. Very classy looking car. Interesting info about the exhaust tips and the lighting/switch clusters. Also noticed that there's no insignia on the radio cover door.
Yes, it looks like something's missing without the badge. While searching the parts manual, I found that the door's without (like mine) are "Not for USA". So mine stays as is.
'89 US cars did not have the insignia on the radio door. Just another one of the numerous small detail differences compared to later models.
Ahhh cool. Good info the fogs. No badge on the radio panel is correct as found. It has enough badges anyway lol
Looks-wise, I couldn't agree more From the driving perspective, albeit completely different, the Cayman is still an absolute canyon-carving weapon. I really enjoy it a lot!
Christmas Day in the central Florida swamps, mid afternoon winter sun. Yes, my front wheels are still backwards. . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Lucky stiff! What a great looking car! And yet my TS is broken, so I can't even drive it. I coulda sworn that one of your earlier pics showed the wheels on the correct sides. Oh well, it's easily forgivable because the car is so ****ed sexy. Hope you had a great drive. Was hoping to get out in mine for a few miles but the starter solenoid had other ideas. I guess Italian cars can break even normally reliable Japanese electrics. ;-) Hope you're having a great Christmas, Wade!
Thanks Mike, a great Christmas indeed. Here's to you and yours... and best wishes for your ts as well. . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Perfect day for a drive, sunny and mid 50s temps. Finally, some winter weather! . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Damn it, Tim. Every time I see your car, it gives me pangs of not going for giallo over nero. Sexiest 348 out there.
