I managed to grab a few shots in better lighting conditions with my trusty mirrorless Canon EOS M3 (flash off) and the results show the car's Bordeaux Speciale fairly faithful to real life - although the gold sparkle which tints the base paint is difficult to capture on film.

These images were actually made in the shade, whereas in harsh sunlight the metal flake is more prominent.

Its best to view these images here https://www.flickr.com/photos/joesackeyclassics/ and click on the lead image, then scroll along.

I think we should caption this one Bordeaux explosion!

I have no idea how this image came to be created like this, but its pretty cool.

Thank you Raymond for sending the beautiful Lamborghini seatcovers, they fit very well - I'll probably use these when the car gets serviced etc.

Compared with other cars of that period it was not, the Audi S2 from 1992 I have, has a harder clutch and the brakes not a slice better than those of the QV.

Welcome, I used them for the Service as well.

I can very understand your Feelings, whenever I didn't feel good, jump into the Countach, have a drive and you are relaxed, happy and everything forgotten.

I used the Alpine System only a few times, it produced only noise compared to the music of the engine :)

I had some time today to check and I do have the shield installed. I know Raymond said it is more than enough and he did track the car but at the time I had to redo the starter (no start when hot), the mechanic blamed it on great heat variation due to the placement of the starter.
I have to say the pipes are awfully close but may be it is irrelevant. From what you all say, this is not a widespread issue and to be fair this only occurred after 13 years since ownership.
I think the car would benefit from a smaller starter for easier maintenance thou.

I was intimidated by them before I first sat in one. Then after the first time I piloted one I also found it easy and nimble. Not the best car to parallel park, but anything at even a low speed and beyond is fairly simple. The clutch is not an issue IMO.

Could be, my memory is a bit foggy on that one

However, Rob Capp would aways arrive with a breathtaking young lady in his company - she can be seen standing behind the car - my memory is very clear on that.

Denise Pearson's Downdraft in for service at Portman's showing white badges, versus black badges on the red car.

I recall thinking at the time we had Pop Star Royalty among us - but it didn't last.

Another image of the previously-discussed D 421 HYP.

I note that Rob Capp's car (185 EXY) had Bianco Perlato wheels, although these could have been painted.

Indeed, this looks like the hood off GLA12988!

Perceptions change over time, and its nice to see this legendary automotive feature be appreciated rather than disparaged!

BTW, I think you can confirm how light this piece is.

I love the downdraft engine cover. Did it change during the DD production run?
