Give Marchionne a chanse. LDM was an era all himself for ferrari. But let the story tells what Marchionne's time will bring. We must not forget two things. First that head of the styling centre of ferrari is Mr Manzoni, who was there also when LDM was at ferrari and second the brilliant models that Alfa Romeo has brought to the market. I'am talking about Giulia and Stelvio

LOL. We will critique and criticize the design, interior, performance, price, availability, etc. for another few months until spy pics of the new Cali ;-)

I wish we can get a leaked photo or two so we can start the bashing early, ha-ha.

488 Speciale next in line. Or we can complain about F12M build slots.

We only need to look at how Luca was ousted, a jealous mans power trip, to judge Sergio.

Worse, he's presenting arguments that roll, in many cases.

I know this is heresy but Luca wasn't exactly a guy with a small ego either. Everybody has their sell by date and perhaps his was heralded by the dismal performance of Ferrari in F1. It's a little early to tell how the new era will pan out!!!

As a businessman, I have zero respect for Sergio. He has done nothing for FCA, Alfa or Maserati. FCA is mired in debt and controversy. Why appoint him another company to oversee when his own house isn't in order?!

Very good point Milanno. I think Ferrari is very fortunate, they have tremendous good will built up around the brand and I think they have to be thankful to LDM's contributions as Traveller pointed out. But now, like it or not, its a new era. As long as the cars captivate our dreams, I think they will be OK.

As great as LdM was, the product genius was Felisa.

    Sadly he's gone too :-(

What do you mean? He is listed as an executive director of Ferrari N.V. He's just not CEO. See the package he got paid to stay on in the annual accounts. It was substantial

My understanding is that he retired so I don't think he's as involved in product dev

On that basis Sergio should sack himself.

I am basically in agreement with you.

But did not begin with the 458 the usage of pseudo racing areo elements? For example, the ridiculous mustache in the front? Followed by ugly movable silver flaps in the Speciale front and small wings on the side? I'm glad these elements are gone in 488 again, the front now looks much cleaner.

True, but I imagine it takes a while to turn things around regardless who runs the company - seems like their entire F1 organisation needs an upgrade.

Regretfully the F1 Team is in far worse shape than when he took over. Shouting doesn't do it. Back on track. Who will be the first to produce non camo spy shots?

I recall when they launched the Aperta they put some sticky stuff on camera phone lens. I am sure they will do again but we will either get a sneaky from the previews or perhaps a firm doing web or brochure design. End Jan maybe.....

I would dream of your TDF, a truly amazing car. I came very very close to getting one. Breaks my heart when I see some of the allocations. Enjoy its a stunner.
