Downside to those lightweight non USA bumpers. No real protection.

That's the Euro that collided with another vehicle rounding a corner that was posted here last year? IIRC, Connecticut? Doors are still listed on eBay. Exotic auto recycling in California parted it out.

Exotic auto recycling, Rancho Cordova California. There was a fairly long thread regarding this accident last year or so.

Don't think it would've made much of a difference. Ouch.

    It was a joke ;)

But yes... would have made no difference.

Mark, I guess the heavy US bumper did not make a huge difference.

This car did not have the big US bumper. I might not fully understand how a "5 mph US bumper" is any safer. I'm sure if the car had been properly "federalized", that big 'ol Lincoln would have bounced right off the 308. [emoji57]

Cue the local Ralph Naders here...

On a side note, I bought the tach out of this car a year or so ago. Wasn't in as good of condition as advertised. Ended up having mine rebuilt but still nice piece of decoration.

Any type of bumper would not make a difference. On a good note a dent doctor might be able to fix it. Lol

Looks like a door gap problem on the pass. side.

I have heard of people "pushing" their bumpers in to look like Euro bumpers, but this is NOT the way to do it.
