I’m wondering if the melodious vibratory sounds that Ferraris make are rooted in the very nature of the universe. Many avant garde scientists believe that the cosmos came into being via sound waves.
Since scientists have put sand and powder on a flat metal surface to show that sound makes incredible 3-dimensional patterns, I wonder what pattern a V-12 or V-8 would make? A prancing horse and a Maltese Cross?
The U.S military uses sound as a weapon, (LRAD) (Saser) but I think a Ferrari’s song can heal and stimulate the soul. Perhaps this is what Enzo thought as a young man when he heard a racing Packard V-12 car at a racetrack.

It all boils down to math and specific frequencies.

This is a great article that does a deep dive from Car and Driver

This Is Why Various Engine Types Sound So Different ? Feature ? Car and Driver

While what we hear can be described as math and frequencies::

How the engine produces that sound is entirely different. Straight round ports, helmholtz resonators, headers, cam timing, cam lift rates, cam ramp angles, header heat shielding, mufflers, exhaust resonators, expansion chambers, intake systems; all contribute to the sounds the engine makes.

I'm a musician and there is a controversy about whether "A" should be tuned to 440 Hz or 432 Hz, because of the way it resonates with the human body. even suggesting that using 440 Hz was the frequency used by Hilter to destabilize the public because it's oscillations interfere with the natural oscillations of the human body...maybe Ferrari tuned their cares based on these theories?
