Some people don't get it dear sir. I am grateful though that there are people like you still in this world. A true gentleman. Kudos!

 

We like Ferraris, the cars, sir. Not the ownership experience or the social recognition that comes with that. As an ex Army Officer I could be writting about tanks or jets just as well; I love them the same. Not as death machines, but as engineering marvels that they are. I hope it wouldn't sound condesending if I suggested that you took a walk down a poor neighbourhood and saw the real people of this world. THESE ARE THE REAL PROBLEMS, NOT "Mr" HENN'S!!!

Yep....... time to end this bitter thing. One thing that is for sure , that whatever the reason or outcome, you and I will get nothing from this.

So back to something like have you donated money to your Church or a family you know of that need clothes and food for this Christmas.

We have a family here in Rural Appalachia where I live, and Preston grew up that is living in a Camper with no running water, with 3 kids. One is 18 months old , and the other two are 7 and 8 Years old. They don't have anything, and we are trying to get them into a house, and the kids the best Christmas ever. They have NOTHING, and no expectations from Christmas, but cold feet, and no water, no Santa. This is my home town and I have to do something it has been wearing on me for weeks .

 

Good for you John. That honors you and the rest of the people who try to help this family.

Preston doesn't feel insulted by Ferrari. He is not a little girl. The publicity is great for him, and that's all he cares about. He is right about the NSX: superior to any Ferrari on sale today.

I have been interested in figuring out how these ultra rare models get allocated. I suspect that if you own a company that sponsors the Ferrari F1 team to a significant level, you would be allocated a unit as a reward for your loyalty. This is much more important to Ferrari than if you have bought lesser road models, which can be sold to just about anyone.

Also, their partners for the F1 team, eg. key suppliers, etc would likely get offered units ahead of Ferrari collectors. Then, probably celebrities to help keep the Ferrari mystique alive. Finally loyal Ferrari collectors.

Then why did he react to Ferrari failing to allocate him an Aperta like a spoilt little rich girl having a tantrum because she couldn't have a pony?

Why do so many people in this thread think he comes out of this looking like a class act?

He had a childish tantrum because he couldn't get what he wanted from Ferrari, threatened to sue them thinking that it would bully them into giving him what he wanted, had to back down with his legal action when it finally sank in that it wouldn't work, and then starts spouting off that Honda make a better car anyway! (I bet he even said it like this: "I don't care really 'cos Honda make a better car anyway so ner!").

If people in America think that that's class, it explains an awful lot about Donald Trump!

If the NSX is so great, why did Preston Henn make so much fuss about not being offered an inferior Ferrari? :

Also, if the NSX is so great, why do Honda insist on badging it an Acura in the USA? - Surely they should be proud enough to shout to the World that it's a Honda?, rather than trying to pretend it's from a more upmarket manufacturer?

I've always wanted to stop by his business and check out the cars on display. I hope they don't break apart the collection and leave it there for people to view.

 

His 275 is reported to be the most valuable auto ever. If his collection is sold off it should break all records.
