Absolutely, no full CF diffusor comes from the factory. One member asked for it though the atelier program and they refused. I think looks great when you look at those aftermarket products

Snow, salt, sleet, brutal cold recently in New York. The F12 relishes the challenge, the snow tires grip with force, the engine howls as it passes Priuses in ditches with their stupid bicycle tires. The F12 is the winter king of the road. Long live the king.

Do you have paint protection film on your F12 or a good detailer? [emoji6]

3m film for front half of the car, no need for a detailer as I don't wash the car all winter. When I change to summer tires in the spring it comes back clean - voila' free car wash!

Ok let me try ... the best protection agains grime and salt is grime and salt, the car can only get dirty once. No point in washing everyday and going back out in the grime and salt, that would actually be more abrasive than getting it dirty once and leaving it dirty.

Oh dear me....noooooo noooooo noooo....all that muck (salt) and cuck (s**t) is destroying your car.....I live in these salted conditions and mine washed weekly sometimes twice to keep all the crud off of it.....

All kidding aside, I appreciate what you are saying and intuitively it does make sense to keep the car as clean as possible. But having left the car dirty all winter multiple times now and having it properly cleaned (including underside) at the end of the winter, when I have inspsected it, the car is literally indisdinguishable from new.

By doing this I save a ton of money on washes plus I save the potential for scratches from 30+ car washes of a filthy car. I saw in the FF thread you wash your car twice a week, I just can't get my head around that. Anyway to each their own, it's great that you drive your car all winter too.

Agree. Washing may produce more damage to painted surfaces than leaving the dirt on. And in a location with a real winter, you don't even get the psychic benefit of a wash, because your car can't travel a quarter mile without becoming dirty all over again. I know people claim that with great care, swirls and scratches can be avoided, but it ain't so simple in practice unless you take it to a professional detailer every time.

Maybe it's your timepiece interest influencing your car care? True watch collectors generally do not polish or clean their watches - they leave that to be done by the watchmaker when the watch is taken apart for service.

I rather guess it is the owner 10 years from now that will be able to compare the different approaches , what with all that salt . (assuming you both trade at some stage) So for now... enjoy !

Well if my 100,000 km 575M is anything to go by, which got the identical treatment, it is sitting in my garage, it's 14 years old and it's absolutely immaculate. So I'm optimistic!

That is fantastic , a great testimony . Just ordered a Lusso, and a part of me wants to keep it forever and take it to huge miles. As one of the last V12 NA I may well do it.

It's borderline an illness....LOL.....what can I say......my F12 doesn't see winter....only because I don't go through the ordeal of winter tyres etc...and I am sure you (we) agree that winter tires are a must if you plan to use your F12B especially as you use yours....
