All over the next few weeks Bill Noon from Symbolic International will be announcing something quite special. A million dollar plus Ferrari barn find. He intends to have some fun with you all and let you share in our latest adventure and newest discovered automotive treasure... one that was carefully hidden away by a very caring owner and his family more than forty years ago. And so the question of the day is...

    What's in the barn?

    Care to guess?

    Clues incoming!

    Okay I'll play.

If it was stashed in the mid 70's it most likely older than the mid 60's.

I have heard that there is a Testa Rossa in the Midwest, near the Road America area. Could it be that? Snow on the ground, like Wisconsin?

I got his mail, but Ferrari was not mentioned. Just specified it was a barn find.

I hope it is an F-car! Look forward to hearing the story.

There was a story in the 80s that appeared in either Prancing Horse, Cavallino, or the Midwest FCA letter about a guy who had a Mondial but couldn't find the correct motor. The reason I remember the article, was that it mentioned someone who was hoarding parts to drive up prices. I'll see if I can find it this weekend. IIRC, the guy was in Wisconsin.

Stored away for 40 years, in a barn with broken windows, (if that is the barn), by a very caring owner just sounds like a contradiction to me.

I never understand why cars sit in 1 place for such long periods of time that are know to be extremely valuable and even more confounding, fun to drive. I would rather see a car which was bought, serviced, enjoyed by a true enthusiast, like the 275 NART Spider that was auctioned for charity a few years back.

Anyway, I know people love these "barn find" dreams and hope it is something exceptional. Unfortunately, 1 mil is not super exclusive in vintage Ferraris anymore.

Until the 80s many of the multi million $ star cars had little or no value and when something broke you either shoe horned whatever local parts you could cheaply use or it sat idle. This is why so many great cars got Chevrolet or Ford engines and got a few more years use before something major broke and it was either scrapped or parked in the barn. My fav story of that was the ex works Alfa Romeo that had won Le Mans and twenty years later it was in New Zealand and ended up with a Fergusson tractor engine in it for a few years.... The other regular option is the young man who buys an old car and starts the restoration and either gets a job or goes into the army etc. And the car sits and sits and one day..............
