OFFICIAL FERRARI F12 TDF PICTURE THREAD

I've only had my TDF for 24 hours. The immediate thing that hit me - like a train - is the sheer physicality of the car.

I've seen her at the dealer but now at home, my goodness she has huge visual impact. Moreover, the way Ferrari has combined brutal physicality with striking elegance is quite remarkable. And what sets this great marque apart from the rest.

I will have pleasure adding many miles to her. I'm in no doubt, while very different cars on paper, as they sit together, the TDF and the F40 are cut from the same very unique cloth. Truly the stuff of Legends.

It looks beautiful in Argento, especially next to the Rosso.

I only hope that some of the tdf design finds its way to the F12m so some of us can experience it for ourselves.

 

No idea what Zaius is talking about. Line 100 people up and 99 would say they loved the look - it is fantastic. It's not supposed to be feline as in a Dino, but it's supposed to be muscularity mixed with flow and it is exquisite as far as I can see. I would love one (and am trying to do my 'homework' to get its replacement).

That's what I love about Ferrari, no instant gratification in an instant gratification world. First heard about the car and that I might have an allocation 18 months ago, saw it a year ago, specced it 9 months or more ago and then fought with the Factory about the paint for months and now finally it's almost time.

Yes, cannot think of a better or more exciting 36 hours than I have lined up early March, something of a culmination of a dream for myself as a lover of the brand for so long, but much as I would like it to be tomorrow, I have leant never to wish time away.

 

Delicious pic. That's how I see them too, cut from the same cloth nad my garage photo would be similar were it not for the LM being on holiday.

 

There is so much about your car on here, I can't follow it.....what's the final colour (name)?

 

Long story. Suffice it to say I chose a colour at Tailor Made, asked them to send me a sample to confirm as for some ridiculous reason they don't have swathes available, when they did it was a similar colour but not as I remembered it. After a lot of back and forth, they finally capitulated, apologised for their mistake and sent me the slightly different sample but unusually there was no name on it, so for the moment I really couldn't tell you and until I see the car, I don't even know if it is the correct colour.

I took the precaution of signing the sample and cutting it in half. Half went back to the factory and I will take the other with me for a collection check. From what I have seen it looks like it, but it is quite a complex colour and the photographs have been all over the place, especially the standard line shots.

I don't even want to go there with what happens if they don't match.......

Grey Threat...

 

Why would anyone give an extrodinary car, meant to be driven and kept ' for the ages' a grey colour!? In several decades from now I'm sure we'll all say, "what were we thinking at that time?"

 

I'm thinking quite the opposite. I wonder why the hell are people chosing something else than grey for a front engined V12 Ferrari... it's simply perfect, no need to search elsewhere.

You know what; I'm glad you say so. It means we'll see quite a lot of different specs which is good for everyone!

 

Although it may not have the PF elegance, something it was not designed to repeat, it sure does look pretty darn spot on as an F12 so just can't get your dislike. To each their own I suppose. I've heard some say its not recognizable as an F12 which to me seems just as implausible.

Yes ! I posted one some pages ago... It's probably my favorite Tdf with the mysterious grey one.

I'll try to find it again.

It has color match wheels (Such a delight) and yellow calipers. That grey is absolutely gorgeous but under poor lightening, Silverstone, ferro and Cdf are often quite difficult to ditinguish.

BTW the dealership is called Graypaul. The best dealership name EVER.

I want to legally change my name to Olivier Graypaul.

The TDF is magnificent. But I've found something I don't like about the TDF.

The trickle charging point is magnetic. Put a cover on your car and it's easy for the charging point to dislodge.

On my other modern F cars,the charging point is inside the car and is secure once connected. Never owned an F12 so perhaps it's a carry-over?

Thanks. If the F12's point is in the boot then very odd. Definitely worth a double check when placing a cover on the car. Even a gentle brush past will dislodge the connection. Silly.
