    1980 Ferrari 308 GTB | Gooding & Company

Cool car, but really? Better run by that blue one in Germany fast if that's the case. I do believe that with time and inflation, yet the 308 will be Dino money. Good looking, iconic, yada yada. New generation of buyers. And yes I know the rare ones already are brining the money. But, these estimates are as though there was never any slump at all?

This is why I thought 79 was the last year of the carb cars as I have often seen this quote:

    1979 Ferrari 308 GTB | Arizona 2017 | RM Sotheby's

240 bhp, 2,926 cc DOHC V-8 engine with four twin-choke Weber carburetors, five-speed manual transaxle, front and rear independent suspension with unequal-length A-arms, coil springs, anti-roll bar, and four-wheel disc brakes. Wheelbase: 92.1 in.

Beautifully presented original example with just 23,000 miles from new
U.S. delivery; includes books, tools, and jack
    Recent 30,000-mile belt service
Final year of the carbureted 308 GTB

So Europe continued the Carbs into 80?

Is the part about only 185 GTBs being built correct?

    • Early-production, steel-bodied and carbureted 308
    • Rare factory livery as one of only two finished in Verde Pino
    • One of only 185 Berlinettas produced in all from 1976-1980
    • Fresh major service and mechanical overhaul including timing belts
    • Complete with spare assembly, tool roll, and jack in bag

I don't know about the estimate on the Verde Medio Met dry sump but I would be surprised if the low end of that isn't close as that color is amazing and I think not very common. Someone may very well love it enough to pay that for it. It's a very beautiful non red dry sump 308.

Agree on the color, but I think I like the darker green better for some reason.

    • Rare factory livery as one of only two finished in Verde Pino

Can someone copy these two green 308s and put them up here?

I don't get it either, but the damndest cars with rare colors lately have been doing well. There was an ice green '74 Porsche Euro Carrera in need of a total restoration, with rust, that made as much as a solid 74 Euro Carrera, some 270k if I remember right.

Typo? The 308 registry indicates 2185 steel GTB from 77-80. They are the most common GTB. Then glass cars at 808, QVs at 746, and early injected cars (GTBi) at 494.

Mecum has 3 308 up for auction estimated similarly.

Yes to the totally uninformed that's big. But they have to correct that prior to or at the auction.

All 308s low estimates seem to be at 100.
