Anyone ever hear of this excuse before ?

    It is now 6 weeks since I got the final pic for my 488.
    Called the dealer and inquired about a status update.

    The first time I inquired a few weeks ago I was told:
    Ferrari just switched to a new dealer software, their inventory management is not up yet, won’t have any updates, unfortunately, until it is up and running.

    This week I was told:
    Their software is so broken that Ferrari can’t wholesale cars or give status updates at this time.

    Anybody else hear of anything like this ?

    "System down" is such a perennial lame excuse. How 'bout they just pick up the phone and find out the status of your car? There are always alternative ways to get basic information if the dealer and factory make an effort.

    Unfortunately, when the technology breaks down, sometimes it's not possible to just pick up the phone and get an answer. They don't know either because the system is down. Not suc thing as a file cabinet anymore.

    Just like if you go to the store or McDonald's and the computer registers aren't working. No possible way for the business to keep going. Maybe partly due to the employees being unable to calculate the cost or know how much change to give you. ;)

    I have some parts on order that i've been waiting on since mid december and was told that they updated the system over xmas and are experiencing issues with it - likely a different system, but maybe they've updated more than one?

    My CalifTHS is in this mess as well. Supposed to be a January build, now might be a February if they can sort the system and they apparently had to confirm all the orders again. Heard it was a global production hold for all of January? We were actually planning a trip in the new car around my birthday in late April. I am not comfortable signing over my recently "sold" FF if there is a chance I can't do the trip in a Ferrari. Only turn 40 once. Hehe.
