John, seriously? Completely irrelevant. Nothing to do with a culture that subjugates their women. How do you suggest these women stop the bullying when it's actually their father/uncle/husband/brother? Heard of honour killings? How many women worldwide protested equal rights for Muslim women yesterday?

Bankstown is bad and I was recently in Brighton Beach and they had Halal Rum & Raisin!!!they were so many Muslims with hijabs at the beach and they sure made everyone feel uncomfortable by staring at any women who were wearing bikinis or Bod shorts.

Now I realise why there were some beach fights a while back.

If this people don't want to integrate , they should emigrate to their parents or religious homeland.

I am Glad the Government is allowing more people from China/India/ South Africa / Europe into Australia who would ingrate.

I have a place in Newtown and Point Piper and thank God we don't have much Muslims there yet.

Of course I wouldn't , but then I wouldn't enter a Hindu temple wearing leather, or climb Uluru, or walk into a cathedral in shorts, or expect to walk into the main area of a synagogue either. It's called respect for other people's lands and culture, but will I be intimidated out of wearing what I choose in my own country - NO WAY.

Yes, that's my point. Women are being harassed on our beaches for wearing bikinis and going topless by groups in the community that are offended by OUR culture.

Kerry , you assume too much .

The singapore government has been trying to curb the Muslim population and keeps a close watch. Very close watch .

Singapore government has arrested a few people planning ton Blow up the metro and Attack a US naval base .

There are other incidents which the Singapore Government does not release because they are afraid of the back lash to its economy .

Muslims are not allowed in sensitive military organiszations like fighter Pilots and naval personnel . There are a few for show and ask any Singaporean and they would tell you so.

Singapore Government has been getting citizens from India / China / Europe to counter the Muslim population . You might argue that some of this people are Muslims and You are right but majority are non Muslims .

Singapore Has been warning it's people to keep vigilant of ISIS and radicals of the Islamic faith , as they fear an Attack is imminent.

Muslims in Singapore are generally not radical but they have been changing and even I notice it .

Singapore is not a Muslim country but its Neighbours are and has to be politically correct all the time .

I prefer Australia as a Christian nation more than a Muslim nation.

At least with the Christians , everyone can practise their faith and no ones cares for kosher / Halal BS . Muslims hate dogs where I love dogs .

Everything about them is about " me me me " my religion states this and that" .

They can jolly well go back to their camels and sand .

Their religion has no place in the modern world .

Hope no one in Jakarta / Singapore is reading your posts...and I'd be happier if there was NO religion (apart from worshipping sun, sand and surf:) ) in aus and elsewhere.

Maybe you need to pay attention to Family First and groups like that. My time in church was all about trying to control what the world was doing, it was all about rallying against the "bad" elements.

BTW, I have MASSIVE problems with Islam also, especially when it becomes a major political power. I have very little (probably none at all actually) respect for most nations that are ruled by Islam because yes they are generally extremely oppressive to women, non believers etc, but the amount of the moderate muslims I have been friends with in my university and working life has shown me that there are a lot of very good people in the faith. There are many muslims who ask for nothing more than an understanding of their faith, in that they are not forcing you not to drink etc, but simply an understanding of why they don't.

When a faith becomes a political or ruling power, we're going to have problems, and we've seen this in multiple religions.

BTW, you also just disrespected people of the Jewish faith, so you're really showing your colours to being EXTREMELY intolerant of basically everything except Christian culture. I hope people are paying attention to your words here.

Are you threatening me ? Singapore is not a Muslim country and Indonesia doesn't not Want to be labelled as one .

Indonesians economy is controlled by the Chinese who are predominantly Buddhist and Christians.

I respect the Jews and they don't force their Kosher meat to anyone . They are not like Muslims. Please get your facts right about me not being tolerant.

I am against the killing of animals through Halal meat .

kosher species must be slaughtered by a "Schochet," a ritual slaughterer. Since Jewish Law prohibits causing any pain to animals, the slaughtering has to be effected in such a way that unconsciousness is instantaneous and death occurs almost instantaneously . This is more humane imho .

But as what I mentioned , Muslims force Halal meat to the masses and you don't see Jews creating trouble with their Kosher meat .

My Grand Dad was Jewish, and I for one support Israel and have worked with them when I was younger in military .

Israeli are amazing people and don't try and put words in my mouth .

    I also like Buddhist / Sikhs / Hindus / Mormons / Scientology / Taoist

I was only giving an example of what standing up to bullies can cause.

And as you say, it's not bullying, it's subjugation

John,I didn't 'get' that ^^^^^^,and being the resident Jew(if there are others here, you haven't put your hand up,sorry),I believe he was referring to the packaging that has been enforced upon manufacturers of the various foodstuffs that have the various symbols of the various religions.

It is EXTREMELY important for orthodox Jews to choose their purchases carefully and with the packaging the way it now is,make their choices and therefore the weekly/daily shop,a whole lot easier/quicker.

Which manufacturers are being 'forced' to put labels such as 'kosher' , 'halal' , 'Australian made' , etc. etc. The manufacturers put those labels on to try and increase their sales.

I think I said ENforced,I don't really know if that's a fact,Jack....what I DO know though,is that I'd be surprised if any Muslim,Buddhist,Catholic,Muhammadan,Hindu or Sikh line up at the checkout of the local IGA holding:a box of Matzo, bottle of gefilte fish or lox,the ingredients for lutkes or a loaf of challah!

L'chaim! I'm of for a bowl of prawns and a beer...
