Last shot of 2016. Went out for a Christmas day drive, and the car overheated due to a failed thermostat about twenty miles from home. Took hours to get a flatbed, but the folks whose house I pulled over at gave me homemade pecan pie and beer. That was my Christmas. It was great, because an adventure is supposed to be an adventure. lol

    Cheers,

    George

Great story and outlook George! Sorry to hear about the overheating and resulting flatbed although you turned it into a great adventure. :)

Hopefully you'll get back on the road soon!

    Cheers!

It's the first time in over 20K miles that it's actually broken down on me, so that's pretty lucky. I've had it as far west as Prescott, AZ and as far east as Goode VA, so breaking down 20 miles from home was actually quite fortunate!

    Cheers,

    George

Moe, which wheels are those? They look good on the 456. Sorry I don't recognize them.

Thank you. They are not factory wheels, although they are similar to some factory styles. They are a German wheel- from a company that does mostly Porsche rims- that I had specially fitted and then sent out to Cali for chrome. At the time, 456 choices in aftermarket wheels were limited and these satisfied me for looks & allowed me to go to 19's.

I hadn't considered it at the time, but I have since picked up a set of 575 modulars I wanted to put on, but my gf likes these better and the 456 is a favorite for us both. I'm on the fence as I like both choices, so I'm still enjoying these for now.

There is not so much as a single stone chip on this car- I've done everything anyone could conceive to keep her cherry and set her up to drive & handle just the way I want her. I'm a sucker for the size & attractive shape & lines of the 456M, and driving the stick reminds me never to let go of this one... Lovely model that's beginning to get some overdue recognition.

Thanks, Moe. They do look good. Seems like it was worth the effort. If you ever decide to let go of the 575 modulars, let me know. Might well be interested. I do find the factory wheels a mite bland.

What percent smoke do you have on that glass and does your state allow that dark?

Mass is really tight about tint. Half the troopers have gauges....

Thanks, I like them, but I've had commentary saying they look old school. But the car isn't new, so I'm Ok with that.

The tint is the lightest offered- I believe it's 35% if my memory serves me correctly, and I've not been bothered about it. Dark enough to lend itself to the shape of the car, but light enough to see through. No expectation of privacy however.

Got it. Looks darker than 35% in the photos because of the angles. Nice beastie.

I had the lightest tint put it on my car and it looks lighter than what you have on yours, could just be the angle.

At Cafe de Paris, where the F1 cars reached its highest point at the annual Grand Prix in Monaco. Here the most expencive cars on the planet come every single day of the year. Met on the road a 246 Dino, a yellow F12 TdF and a La Ferrari. I also found a TdF 550 parked at a private parking (first time I have seen a 550 on the "road" in Europe for many years).
