After all their R&D for the LF, surely when they go KERS they would follow a similar route rather than something like this. And I just don't see it happening in a mid life although the only corroborating titbit was a rumoured humongous torque output. Personally I am with Chalstrad and my own sources.
Correct. It also makes more sense for them to do it when they go with the new chassis platform and incorporate the batteries into the floor structure as the leaked patent office documents showed of the next generation Ferrari platform.
I agree that it will not contain any batteries rather a KERS system with a flywheel to store the energy. Skickat från min MHA-L29 via Tapatalk
Ohhh do tell. The color for the 488 GTB debut which was a metallic Roso Corsa was very nice. How does this compare?
If what has been posted here occurs, by this time tomorrow a whole lot of FChatters will know with great certainty many of the facts we've been theorizing about for quite some time! I "needs" to know so help a brother out.... 1. Interior dash? 2. Exterior styling? 3. Drive train? 4. Name? and in any order you like. Pics would be awesome but lets not get greedy just yet. I love the new release suspense sometimes more than the actual outcome.
Order in and waiting in anticipation Really dark as can't make the previews in Italy. So hanging out to hear here first ...
Curious name indeed - are we to understand that being the "red of all reds" it's the ultimate red, so no more new reds after this? Kind of like "LaFerrari". Or is it "the red of the Rossis" as in the Rossi family, whoever they may be?
Must be the former. The ultimate red, which also sounds expensive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We'll know the technical info but I think they'll keep the name for Geneva - well see in the next few days.
It is the "red of all reds". Non metallic. Triple layer, somewhere in between Rosso Barchetta and Rosso Mugello. Gorgeous with black interior (you will see it at the GVA Motor Show this March). Aero bridges now on side of fender, huge hood. 800 hp, electric steering, side slip angle control, LED lights. Massive rear, fat and heavy, extended (prolonged) and more aggressive, and with the double GTC4 Lusso taillights. Marcel Massini
Thanks Marcel, When you say electric steering you mean the 4WS, not electric over hydraulic steering?
Can't help but feeling dissapointed about the "Red of all reds" are not metallic. I love the metallic reds on the modern Ferraris.
Marcel, not sure I like the fat and heavy part of this - would be interested if you think it looks good or just fat and heavy is your overall impression?
The current F12 Berlinetta is clearly much more elegant. A real beauty (yes, I know, I am biased, because one is sitting in my garage). The new one is more aggressive, sporty, racy. Marcel Massini
