Don't feel bad. My "Ferrari expert repair center" told me the could not understand why the rear deck lid light kept flashing when they turned the key on (face-palm). I leave my car in neutral (despite the warning beep). That way I can hop in and fire it up while the F1 pump primes. Leaving the car in gear means waiting for the pump to prime before selecting neutral and starting.
I also leave in neutral but for other reasons. I still watch the F1 pump prime and kinda time it just to see if it's taking longer or sounds weird. Nothing so far but it is going on 18 years.
Well, they are "experts" so they have a lot of lieway. Posers like myself don't enjoy the same luxury. And prior to this, I was certain I knew everything. Now the only thing I'm certain about is that I know everything about nothing. Fired up the garage queen. Trunk lid light blinks 8 times prior to and after engine start. Looking good! Now what would I do wothout the real experts on fchat? Gentlemen, keep on shining.
Funny stuff! Thanks for making me chuckle. I wonder why the gated three pedal cars don't have a deck lid warning light? Maybe they thought we were more intelligent owners and could see it was open all by ourselves.
In the F1 owners manual it states the 3 pedal cars dont need the warning light because they dont go fast enough for it to be in danger of flying off. Just paraphrasing of course.
