Just a random question - the title says it all. I have a 2014 458 and was wondering what changes (if any) were made between the 2011 versions and the one I have now. Thanks
The largest changes as I recall was from 2011 to 2012 but here is what I know: In 2011, the Spyder came out, with the aluminum retractable hardtop, 14 sec conversion, etc. In 2012, some new software upgrades and options to the 458. This was in addition to the no cost 7-year maintenance package on top of the 3-year factory warranty. Software upgrades for this model would deliver a harder kick when shifting up in race mode as well as a tamer exhaust note that got rid of pop, crackles, and bangs from the exhaust. There were some minor changes including revised engine maps and revised damper and chassis updates to improve handling. In 2013, no major changes as I recall but I could be wrong. In 2014, along w/ introduction of the Speciale, I don't recall much else changing on the standard 458. In 2015, along w/ Speciale A, not much changes per my knowledge to standard 458.
all 2010 and 2011 have the updated software if they were serviced at a ferrari dealership no difference between a 2010 and 2015
I got 2 2014 458s --- (the first was delivered in the wrong color) the Dec 2013 delivery did not have the satellite radio antenna, the one (correct color) delivered in March 2014 did have the nipple on top of the roof. (I would rather not have the antenna, but I guess it was a Sirius deal with FCA).
