Preston Henn is one of the oldtimers, and one of the good guys. Nobody has any position disparaging him. He has done so much, both for the Ferrari hobby and for motor racing in general.

That's a rude way to phrase it. Especially when you say he's not alone.

Better to phrase it "It's best that the issue remain between them."

If memory serves me he may be in Daytona with one of the many Porsches he has raced there this weekend?

Everyone was wondering what happened today. What a pity that this great show has fallen to "politics" whatever that means.

I still have hopes we will see some amazing Ferraris tomorrow at the concours despite more than 60% empty parking lot.

Had i known i wouldnt have bothered flying her for the event. You would think car events would be one of the things that wouldnt succumb to "politics" since it's supposed to be between passionate and mostly friends. Sad.

Personal politics and price aside the cars are great and many of the people are wonderful.
The track turnout was a bit thin but with a 412(?) a 250 GTO, Comp Daytona, Two Birdcage Masers, a Type 59 Bugatti and many more great cars in the paddock the PBIR was well worth doing.
I'm told that there will be a few cars on the lawn that haven't been seen in public for decades.
Perhaps the 200$ ticket will thin the crowd a bit and make viewing easier.
Looking for (and finding) a silver lining.

Preston Henn fielded several entries(and drove) for the Daytona 24 hours in the mid-80's. He won with AJ Foyt and Bob Wollek in a Porsche 935 in 1983; also a 962 in subsequent years. "Henn's Chicks" added a bit of color to the paddock.
