Hi all, I'm considering an FF. aprart from warranty etc is there a difference between 2012 car or 2016? If so what? Need to make a judgement. Thanks all and sorry if covered before
Ferrari will say nothing changed except they added the pano roof option mid 2013. Yet it's possible that some gremlins were handled. As a used buyer I avoided 2012s even though any car driven 2000 miles a year should be in good shape.
....and increased the base price of the car by the price of the pan roof too, so more of a non optional option!
Personal choice based on the look, the experience for passengers and sun/heat in your area. Has been debated a lot. Your call. I love it.
Pano roof less desirable in a hot climate like Texas, in your opinion? Or, is there a shade to provide some relief on especially hot days? My wife's SLK has a pano roof, and it gets pretty toasty in the summer down here in Dallas. T
there were upgrades to the radiator over the years. not sure what they were but i found out when i had to replace my radiator
Again, do a search. It has a tint, no shade. If you are parked in the sun all afternoon and get in the car at 5pm it could be hotter. Then again, if you have a black or dark car in Texas it will be much hotter. I am white car with Pano and I don't park in the sun every day, it's no problem all benefit. Like driving in the rain, or up the sunny coast with 4 people, or the look against white.
2013 had a number of previously "pay extra" options included as standard with the same MSRP (was effectively a $15K discount in NA) - some common items like camera, cruise, automatic hatch, etc. 2015 had a generational upgrade to the infotainment system/interface that was not applicable to earlier MY's A number of minor mechanical upgrades and campaigns (eg. radiators/heat exchangers, hyrdaulic lifter pump if you had that option, rear boot interior panel changes) that do not materially affect the car. Some believe the chassis control software in 2014 was a bit more aggressive in intervening; the SW version IS different but any change is subtle and would only be noticeable likely on track or an autocross You can likely find 2012's at a bargain price compared to 2013's - partially due to age but many in the market were dealer demos that were over-optioned and had a few (2,000) miles when sold but generally the market prices are driven by the usual factors (age, condition, spec, mileage). good luck
Yo buddy its 'iLLGT2' from IG.. I have a 12 with 13k miles, besides for maintenance, new battery and sagging headliner leather due to extreme florida sun/heat car has been flawless
grigio titanio in florida the heat/sun is so extreme that when dealer let car sit outside after my service (i was away on vacation) so they held the car fr me when i got back headliner was starting to sag a bit from glue getting so hot and separating
Thanks everyone - bought a lovely example just 4.5k miles. Upgrading the head unit to latest pioneer with Apple play, amp all the speakers and sub. Needs a nice back box - any recommendations? Seriously considering some new wheels - something sportier, again any recommendations . Pics here https://www.instagram.com/woppum/?hl=en
